Just to keep everyone up to speed, here are some upcoming anime that look to be newest additions to the Magical Girl Genre.
Winter 2013
Spoiler:
Majocco Shimai no Yoyo to Nene - Dec. 28, 2013 "A traditional mahou shoujo fantasy following two sisters who are witches."
Zetsumetsu Kigu Shoujo: Amazing Twins - Dec. 29, 2013 "In the story, at a hilltop park in a town, the performance team "Nought" is holding a "supernatural" magic show before a sparse audience. Despite Nought's best efforts, the audience boos the show. One of Nought's idols, Amane, happens to have ISH — "Incomprehensible Skill of Humans-beings," the power to turn what is imagined into reality. Suddenly, a girl appears before Amane. The masked girl with a cold smile is Aya, the popular genius magician in the group "I.A.M." Like Amane, Aya also has ISH. "
Wizard Barristers -Jan. 2014 "The story takes place in Tokyo in 2018, where normal humans and those who can use magic coexist. As a result, there are laws against using magic, and a "magic courtroom" exists to preside over lawsuits regarding magic use. In these cases, "Benmashi" or wizard barristers defend those who use magic. The anime follows Cecil, the youngest Benmashi in history, and her associates as they defend clients in these cases. "
Sailor Moon Remake - Jan. 2014 -details unknown

I think it fell off the face of the planet ^^;
I think those music videos were it and they were made to promote a Pachinko game that had the characters. My guess is that it was just testing the water and if the game was popular enough they'd make a show out of it? I guess? Only some Japanese business men/women really know the answers.
that silly "Kaitou Tenshi Twin Angel" show was based on a Pachinko game, so I guess it's not too far-fetched.

There's also that Ladybug thing we're supposed to be getting at some point in 2014.
An odd collaboration between Toei Animation and a couple of French studios, it looks like a hybrid between traditional super hero and magical girl works.

That Ladybug thing looks super cute! <3
That's a shame that anime from the madoka thing dropped off. D: It looked cool!

What Madoka thing?
I herd from Tumblr fandom of Mraculous Ladybug that the movie will be in 3DCG, but still animated by Toei studio. (Has the studio overall had done 3D "anime"?) Some were still faithful, others are worried. That's all I can sum it up.
I wanted to see Majocco Shimai no Yoyo to Nene, but since this is a full feature film, we may not be able to see it until it's on Blu-Ray/DVD or something. To me this is like the most tamest MG I have seen while still brining some artistic animation and effects.
Also giving SM a chance with the re-make.

It looks cute, but I don't think it could have been a success. Just being made by Shaft after the extreme success of Madoka would lead to one of two things.
1 ) If the show is indeed as lighthearted as it seems, it would be criticized for not being the dark and edgy wangstfest that Madoka is.
2 ) If the show really would be tragic and angsty, people would criticize it for using the same false advertising/shock value thing as Madoka, which would cheapen both shows.

I still would have liked a Hidamari Sketch-esque magical girl show. Shame it'll probably never see the light of day. If only the magical girl fanbase on tumblr and other sites were as big as the fanbase for ripped shirtless men then they might have even ended up creating the show because of the demand. Although unlike my other example, I don't want it be the only good thing Shaft makes all year.

Prisim Nana had shown some in-show content of this AU world that I hope to think this is Gurren Lagon, but with girls doing awesome things while forming a musical band.
I'd watch anything if it's for the adult demographic as long there are no loop holes left behind like Daybreak Illusion's faults (even though I like the series).
Guh when can my creation begin. I want a magical girl that was like I said, with a bit of despair, but not when the single heroine (yes I only have a one-girl show) cries, but without being Ryuko Matoi either.

Not really a full series announcement. But kindof a fun.
Shonen Gag Manga "Mako-chan's Lip Cream" will be getting a 95-second short video to promote the 10th volume.
"The manga’s story centers around a “mysterious lip cream” that can transform you into anything. The witch Zaiaa was cursed for using the lip cream too much, and it ends up in the hands of an ordinary elementary school girl named Mako-chan."
I admit, I really like Wacky gag manga. It's some surreal stuff man. (Gag Manga Biyori is the best thing btw) So I hope this promo gives it some proper recognition including a manga license and full anime ah, i can dream can't I?
