Muh nostalgia. It hasn't quite been 20 years for us in the West. It's honestly kind of amazing to talk to people who are younger than the franchise. Makes me feel super old.

I remember getting this player's guide before I even got my copy of the game. Then one day while flipping through tv channels, the Squirtle Squad episode of the anime was airing, an anime I didn't even know existed. I remember thinking it was weird that Pikachu was constantly outside of its ball, like it was just a character and didn't belong to a trainer.

Then one day at a.... I think Best Buy or Sam's Club, we found a discount bin that had copies of the game and I got Blue Version. I chose Charmander and it evolved into Charmeleon later that day at a Pizza Hut we stopped at. Fun times.

I've been really excited to play Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow when they release them to the online store next month! It'll be nice to enjoy an old classic.

I really hope we get the Mew here in the UK, I'd be extra excited! >w<

I wonder... Since they're releasing Mew as an event, does that mean they're taking out the Mew glitch? I sure hope not. The glitches were the one of the most memorable parts of Gen I.

In Japan they'll have a special event where you can take the game and download Mew on to it.

So it seems they're re-releasing the first Pokemon movie. And the cover could not be more generic. XD

Either way this is good news since I used to own the movie before it was borrowed, the cover was thrown away and then the disc itself was lost among billions of DVDs. It would be nice to own the movie again, even if the cover isn't nearly as awesome as the original release was.

So the first Legendary Pokemon distribution begins and it's...... at Gamestop. Great. I thought they were going to be over wi-fi.

Okay then. Maybe that'll free up the Wi-Fi to do a distribution of something.

Some are at Gamestop and others are Wi-Fi. Fine with me. I rather have Gamestop than McDonald's.

Hehe, guess who just got Mew!!!

Actually, I was really surprised to get it. I don't really have any way to get to GameStop, so I just wasn't planning on getting the events. But my cousin's friend lives near one, and my cousin asked him to pick up Mew codes for both of us! So now I have a lovely level 100 Mew that only knows Pound! 

I hope I'll be able to get the rest of the events. Admittedly, some event Pokemon I already have, but I'd like to get the ones I'm missing. My Pokedex is technically complete by the game's standards, but I would love to have a 100% completed Dex.

All I need is Darkrai and the gen 5 legends. However I am getting them all because I like hording event Pokemon. I used to have Victini, but I deleted my oringal Black file. I kick myself for doing that.

Crap, three of the ones I need are GameStop. DX I only need the Sinnoh ones and Genesect. Hopefully my cousin's friend can come through for us again.

It's worldwide so you will have to check with your country. Serbii should have info on that. I know some countries aren't getting it.

Wow I forgot how much I hated the GTS. I just went on there to find a foreign Ledyba so I could start Masuda Methoding. The only people offering said pokemon where about four people who wanted impossible trades (like a lv9 and under Pidgeot, and they had the nerve to ask for a shiny) and people wanting event legendaries.

I'm surprised they still haven't figured out that you can't put those on the GTS. I just have to assume it's little kids doing this en masse because it's just... wow.

Really they should release an update to make it so stuff like this doesn't flood the GTS. It's been three or so years since X and Y first came out and the GTS is still friggin useless because of this stuff.

Yeah, I hate the GTS for that reason. I used to use it a lot back in Gen IV and Gen V when there was no Wonder Trade, and my method for it was always to offer something cool and ask for what I wanted in exchange. It actually worked most of the time -- I got a Manaphy that way, believe it or not. Nowadays, I just Wonder Trade for whatever I need. I don't have to worry about getting foreign Pokemon for Masuda Method, because I have a Korean Ditto.

EDIT: I just realized what I said makes no sense. Okay, I just Wonder Trade for all of my trading needs. If I actually need a Pokemon, I just get it myself. I have almost all the games from Gen III-VI, three game systems, and a subscrition to Pokemon Bank. I completed the Pokedex entirely by myself. God, I am a nerd.....

I'm working on the dex right now. I have the bank as well so I have been getting certain Pokemon from the gen 4 and gen 5 games. I have a friend who helps me with the trade evolution. I have gotten a few Pokemon from the GTS. Wonder Trading has helped as well. 

As for the GTS it's crap. People asking for higher evolution Pokemon in the level 1-10 range.  I turn off special Pokemon so people asking for Mew (or whatever) don't show up. I also hate the people asking for the same Pokemon, but in a higher level. Just level it up yourself you bum! Or breed to get the IV you need. It's not that hard to do anymore. They really made things more convenient.

Speaking of that. It really annoys me how people bitch how easy Pokemon is. Pokemon has never been hard. It can be challenging for those new to the series, but in general it's an easy RPG to play. That's the whole point of the series! It was made so anyone can pick up and play. It's up to the player to make it challenging. I'm glad things are more convenient now. I love the new exp share because I can train more than eight Pokemon. There is 722 (a new Pokemon has been announced!) I want to be able to train more than eight. I say eight because that's how I used to play in the past games. Rotate eight Pokemon.

If you played a game series for over 20 years. Yeah it's going to be easy to you. >.>
