while Alya was busy climbing all over the rocks Marinette was looking down into the water. She was watching the tiny fish, when she noticed something black swim by. She lean in closer and noticed it had cat like ears. Marinette sat up. A fish with cat ears? She looked back down and noticed it swim pass again. No! It can be!

"Alya!!" Marinette called to her friend.

"WHat!?" Alya jumped from the high rocks and ran to her friend. "Did you see one!?"

"No I think I saw a fish with cat ears."

"Really!?" Alya sat down next to her. She pulled out her phone. "Where?"

"In the water," Marinette replied and pointed to it.

Alya leaned in closer and watched the water. The cat like fish returned and she quickly took a picture. "You were right!" She showed it to her friend. "This fish has cat ears!" Alya looked back a the picture. "I wonder if this is a pet."

"So a mercat..?"

Alya looked back at her friend. " A mercat?"

"Its fins look like a mermaid fin," said Marinette and pointed to the picture.

Alya looked back at it. "You're right..."

Adrien watched Plagg swim near to the surface and gasped when he heard Alya and Marinette's voices. The kwami must have been spotted! "What are you doing, Plagg?!  They've noticed you!" He hissed, waving the kwami back to him.

"You said to spy on them. I was spying on them."

"Well, you're not doing a good job of spying if they see you. What if they tell people about you?!"

Plagg looked unconcerned. "Relax. It's not like anyone will believe them."

"That's not the point!"

"If you're so worried about it, find somewhere to transform and then go meet up with them."

Adrien paused for a moment before nodding. That was the best course of action. Surely, Alya would show him any evidence she had of Plagg's existence... He swam away from the cove and found another spot; though, it was less hidden and he had to be completely sure no one was around before transforming.

Once he was human, he headed back to the cove. "Hey guys. What's up?"

Both girls jumped. They turned and saw Adrien standing there. Alya narrowed her eyes at him. What was he doing here? A tourist wouldn't wondered this far down the coast. 

"We're looking for mermaids," Alya replied. "We spotted a mercat." She decided not to question him for being down here.

"Alya," Marinette spoke up. "Show him the picture."

"Sure." Alya stood up and walked over to him. "Look." she held up the phone. "I guess mermaids have pets like us."

Adrien stared at the photo while trying not to let the horror show on his face. Not only had they spotted Plagg, but they got a decent quality photo of him! What a disaster! He needed to delete that photo, but there was no way Alya would give him the chance.

"Oh wow. That's something," he said, trying to sound amazed. What to do? "Are you sure it's not some catfish or something? Water can distort things." He only realized after he said it that skepticism was not part of his fisherman's son alias that he'd been crafting, and the chances of Alya not picking up on that were pretty thin.

"Nope! That's clearly a cat with a mermaid tail," Alya replied. She put the phone away into her pocket. "I wonder if its owner is nearby."

Marinette climbed onto a new rock and sat down. She stared out to the sea and watched seagulls dive into the water trying to catch their next meal. She closed her eyes and felt the wind blow past. It felt nice. Then suddenly Alya placed her hands on both of Marinette's shoulders. Marinette turned to face her. "Alya!!"

Her friend laughed. "Sorry! Shall we go into town?" she looked back at Adrien. "Or should we go swimming?"

Adrien cursed under his breath as Alya put the phone in her pocket and walked away. Did she already upload it to her blog, or was there still a chance he could delete it? He was going to kill Plagg for this. Well.. not kill.. He needed Plagg to transform, after all. 

"Swimming sounds good," he answered without hesitation when asked. He wasn't the best planner, but Alya wouldn't have her phone in the water. Maybe he could find a chance to grab it and delete the incriminating picture.

Alya smirked and clapped her hands. "Alright! Let's have a three person race! Who ever loses has to buy lunch."

Marinette turned and looked back at them with a laugh. "You're on, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be the one who wins."

"Oh we'll see about that," Alya said folding her arms on her chest. She glanced at Adrien. "You pick where we race."

Adrien bit his lip and fidgeted slightly. Alya was doing this on purpose... He had no money and was most likely to lose; probably proving to her that he was not human. "Uh, I don't know. I think I should just referee this one. I forgot to bring money... You guys should race, though."
