Yeah the guy who voiced Taruto voiced the charater from Yugioh who used bug cards. I think his name was Weevle? Anyway everytime he spoke I would think of that character. XD

Out of all of the aliens I think Pai had the best English dub voice. It was British sounding, but hey it's Pai! XD

Well, the dub was quite different from the sub, but some of the changes actually made sense. (Like aging up most of the main cast - Ichigo, Minto, Retasu, Zakuro, etc. Except for Purin. She should've stayed 10, which someone already mentioned. It's a little weird that they have full blown romances for pre-teens in the manga ... or is that just me? [Ichigo is said to be twelve in the manga, to my knowledge.])

As for dub voicing ... Kisshu/Dren's voice in the dub isn't that bad, actually. I like it. And Pai, having a British accent, of course has a wonderful voice. :3

I think in the anime Ichigo is 13? It's either 12 or 13. I feel like at those ages you just have crushes on people. I thought Ichigo took her relationship with Aoyama way too seriously. XD

The crush part makes sense at that age. But looking at how far it goes makes it plain creepy to me, so I go with dub ages when I play with the characters.

If I ever do a rewrite of TMM I would like to set them as high students, but Pudding will remained 10.

well in most magical girl series the main characters are in middle school. In my opinion feel like people shouldn't date in middle school. 10 to 13 years old to me are still children. But in most magical girl shows they turn out to be harmless crushes and usually the main girl can't admit her feelings to said crush. The only magical girl series where I was okay with deep romances was Cardcaptor Sakura seeing how love was the theme for the series. Well I shouldn't say deep romance, but you get the point right?

Anyway this is not the case in TMM, a lot of the romance to me seems like on a high school level instead of a middle school level. For example the ending of the manga has

Now I feel like that's a bit extreme for middle school love you know?

So yeah everyone's ages should have been bumped up to a high school age (minus Pudding) for the manga and the sub. I feel like that was a good decision on 4kids part.

Well, as you said, CSS had a theme of love to it. TMM could be said likewise, but the obsession with it at their age is a little much. I also agree with the highschool level of maturity associated with how they portray the romance.

I am also, admittedly, impressed that 4kids kept some of the things regarding Kisshu and Ichigo - like the episode where Zakuro finally joins them and Kisshu tackles Ichigo, but the way he straddles her it looks explicitly sexual.

They also keep the scene in episode 24 where she lands on top of him. XD Yet they either move where the mew mew marks are or edit them out.

Which I find to be a little insane. ^_^"

Well, I think Ichigo's behaviour regarding Masaya is pretty accurate for her age actually (Anime 13, Manga 12).
Not perfectly sure what I think about it being the true love ever, but this is what people at that age who are really, really in love are like. Even though the dates and such sometimes seemed a bit more mature.

Oh god, looking at it in terms of age, Kisshu ends up even more of a creeper with all his sadistic, borderline sexual stuff.. Ahahaha, Kisshu, dear, why?!

Well, the initial behavior is about right. But the rest of it doesn't line up. XD, and I'm sorry that I made you think of Kisshu like that. It's sad, but true. Which is why, with most of the group older, it is at least age "appropriate" (so to speak, not that it actually is).

Haha, I had a lot of thoughts about how Kisshu is unhealthy person nr. 1 already, soo...
I still love him as a character and have a great deal of sympathies and empathy for his reasons, but I just fail to understand how I when I was younger like many other fangirls could somehow think it were actual excuses for what he did.
I mean... seriously. He steps over all the borders. It's no good.

Okay, I will admit that he's an unhealthy individual, but when you look at his situation ... it is, actually, easier to sympathize with him. Not the typical fangirly "but Ichigo won't love him back!" reason, but the entire picture. He's lightyears away from his home planet, everything he knows, and he was told that they would find salvation.

But, I'd be getting a bit off topic discussing his motivations and why I sympathize (and like you, love him, XD) with him since this is for discussing sub-versus-dub.

If it wasn't for the dub, I would never have found TMM, so it mustn't be that bad!
