Okay so we all know one of the major themes of the series is protecting the environment. I feel like this is the only magirl girl series that uses that as theme (correct me if I'm wrong). I like that theme and I think it's a good message to kids that we need to take a better care of our planet. Don't worry I'm not a tree hugger.
However, I do see in a flaw in this theme. The series doesn't really talk about it much. I guess that's okay because if they mentioned it a lot it would come off preachy. But you can still talk about protecting the planet without it seeming preachy. Now, I haven't read the manga or seen the anime in awhile, but if I remember it correctly in the beginning of the anime they talked about it often, but after season one's finale they don't bring it up much. I could bring wrong though. As for the manga I have no idea. I really need to reread it.
So what do guys think? Did they not talk about the environmental theme enough, a lot, or just enough?
