That's always true! That's how I am with the Sailor Moon dub. I know a lot people hate the SM dub but I enjoy it because it introduce me to SM.

After going through my whole collection, I wouldn't say that MMP is the worst dub. Sure there was some miscasting and the changes were huge but I think 4Kids' dub of One Piece is worse. But if you want a faithful dub that's hard to sit through due to bad acting alone, Crest of the Stars is that for me. 4Kids' acting is a lot better than that one.

As for worst overall Mew Mew dub, for a MMP dub, that honor goes to Serbian. While the actors tried their best, the low budget really showed with poor mixing and the fact that there were only 4 actors for the whole thing. The one good thing about that one is that they finished the whole series. I was debating on whether choosing this one or Bulgarian but decided against the latter since, while there are script changes, the Bulgarian version was more like speaking a translation than a dub.
For worst uncut Tokyo Mew Mew dub, that goes to the Thai version. There is absolutely no effort in the acting and the mixing wasn't that good either.

I've never watched a full episode of Mew Mew Power. I've only seen clips from comparison videos. But if there's one thing I know it did right, it's the theme song. That theme song is so catchy, I get it stuck in my head a lot... Which is impressive since I've never watched the show!

I haven't seen the Mew Mew Power dub, but I was always under the impression that One Piece had the worst dub.

I mean... poison suction cups, really? The worst the Pokemon dub had was awkwardly bouncing sandwiches and jelly doughnuts.

Pokemon was 4kids' best dub in my opinion. Although their dub for Ojamajo Doremi wasn't too bad.

I remember watching it and thinking "this isn't so bad" I mean it wasn't good XD but I didn't think it was the worst dub ever

the worst 4kids dub was probably One Piece. I mean there's an interview anime news network did (around the time 4kids was in it's dying stages) and the 4kids employee said they licensed One Piece on the notion that it was a popular children's show - and hadn't actually seen it to realize that it wasn't up to American broadcasting standards (that, and the voices were really irritating and didn't match the tone very well

also the worst dub period is Garzey's Wing or something from the 80s where anime dubbing was done with nickels and dimes. some stories from decades ago recall dubbing studio's based in buildings with dirt floors


But I like the dub okay compared to other 4kids ventures. there's a tumblr blog that takes mew mew power clips and it's fantastic

The 4kids English dub of Tokyo Mew Mew/Mew Mew Power is not bad and it does have some good voice acting along with good music. What makes the Tokyo Mew Mew/Mew Mew Power 4kids dub bad is the censorship.
