It's been a while, almost a year, but now I have a handful of new youtube channels that I like watching.
First and most fresh in my mind, TamashiiHiroka.
I poked into her videos from time to time, she has a handful of nice pokemon videos, but it wasn't until I saw her list of top 10 favorite anime that I really began to adore her. The top two being Cardcaptor Sakura and Sailor Moon. (with special mention of not liking Madoka Magica). She seems to like magical girl shows in particular, specifically because they give girls an equivalent to super heroes.
Then I saw this video titled "How Pokemon Changed My Life". Just... wow. This is something that I feel a lot of people should see, particularly adults/parents who look down on Pokemon, and people who think that video games are just pure escapism that do nothing but corrupt people's minds and make them unable to face reality.
Next we have a guy who loves pie and rulez.
More of a podcast to listen to, since he doesn't have much in the way of imagery for his videos. He's got a quirky little emote, but most of it is either static images or the kind of effects you'd expect from a screensaver.
Regardless, he's got a pretty pleasant attitude and makes his points pretty clearly. I particularly like his video about why Steven Universe excels at things Adventure Time fails at. I stopped watching the latter for a lot of reasons and the three reasons he lists are a pretty big part of it, so I was amazed to see that I wasn't just blowing steam.
Next we have Bobsamurai, an anime reviewer.
Again not much in the visuals department, but he's got a nice suit and composes himself pretty well. Definitely something that's easy to listen to while I'm doing other things.
And finally, Phantomstrider8.
Someone who actually likes Dragonball GT! That's kind of nice. Most of what he does seems to be Top 10 lists of Western animation stuff, which are always fun. His
#1s always surprise me, particularly the best Nickelodeon shows list.
