| There are good magical girl series, then there are the bad ones.
What are your least favorite magical girl series?
Mine are Star vs the Forces of Evil and Winx Club. |

| Magica Madoka.
I like watched half of the first episode years ago. Recently I gave it another try, but read the manga. It bored me to death, but I finished it to have a full opinion.
I'm so so with Precure.
I couldn't get into Winx Club as a kid. It was too cheesy for me. |

| Kamichama Karin and Daybreak Illusion. Kamichama Karin because of the male lead's blatant sexism, and Daybreak Illusion because I honestly felt it was trying WAAAY too hard to be the next PMMM.
Oh, and Trollz. I didn't care for that show much either. |

| Pretty much all of the non-traditional MG shows, like Lyrical Nanoha, and ESPECIALLY Madoka Magica. The closest one that I liked was Daybreak Illusion. I liked that it was up front with its dark tone, and the characters were likable. Even the one I initially disliked, got some development that not only explained WHY she behaves the way she does, but had her overcome that bad behavior.
If I had to pick a least favorite traditional MG show, it would be Doki Doki Precure. I really liked how it had the villains being savvy, had such a strong emphasis on plot and had Mana actually realizing her flaws............. up until Regina showed up.
Then it spiraled into a complete mess of plot devices being thrown in and discarded on a whim, characters being sidelined in favor of Mana, Regina and Aguri, the latter being thrown in with no foreshadowing and of course, Mana constantly defying logic and reason, yet always being in the right. |

| Mermaid Melody, Uta~Kata, and Cyberteam in Akihabara probably. Papillon Rose Tv series is one I'd like to try out of curiosity, but just watching the transformation scene's make me feel scummy. |

| Mentioning Papillon Rose made me remember another MG series I despise: Moetan. I watched the first episode of that, and... God that was some of the grossest crap I've ever seen. Do not want. |

| I love Sailor Moon, but I dislike a lot old Sailor Moon anime, I'm not a fan of Crystal neither, but manga story is pretty nice and fast, while the old one got a lot of fill episodes, they change the characters personalities on a bad way. I don't like Fan Service on it, It's really feels, like it wasn't made for little girls, but for adults man, who also made the product.
Other series that I love but got a season that I dislike a lot was Precure, Dokidoki Precure is so hateable! Mana harem is annoying.
And finally every Magical Girl that isn't from Japan, it's a little meh to me xD |

Well have not seen it fully but... I will cite my Master Camus' advice on fanservice, ecchi and such... - Aquarius Camus wrote:
- Ecchi is like being stuck in traffic or waiting in line at a market, no matter what you do, no matter what you try. It is there and you can avoid it but, sooner or later it'll come to show you its fangs. The best thing you can do is keep your cool and wits about you.
BUT... Moetan, more than magical girl is a show to teach english... Wat..? Yeah. 'Methodology Of English, The Academic Necessity' their target being japanese otaku to learn English...which explains the following...I put in spoiler to prevent you know, the usual, monitor destruction, Japan hating and such. - Spoiler:
Anyway, leaving aside that, I kinda like Mermaid Melody...they used to air it on a certain channel though in Spain dub; however its flaws are blantant...Songs that magically thow enemies away. In what's personal I'm a sucker for details, the more intrincate "Magical girl attacks" are the better for me at least, but...just singing...I admit sound can be a good element but, they don't seem to use it like that. Also the protagonist is searching for her childhood love and from episode one we get pretty clearly it's a slap-kiss relationship for...the dumbest of reasons, I'll leave it there for the sake of everyone's peace of mind. Also, PMMM and some seasons of precure...why japan? why? |

| Yeah, I knew that it was about learning English. But really, though, my problem was just that the girl who was subject to all the fanservice... Well, she was sixteen, but was meant to look like she's around ten. And the show did it on purpose and even joked about it, just look at henshin sequences where the loli-girl gets naked and that duck is drooling after her... Ick. |

| Wow, Moetan is getting a lot of hate here. I couldn't stop laughing when I watched it. But if I had to choose a mahou shoujo title that I just found quite disagreeable it would have to be Shugo Chara. I never got past the first episode because I just don't like the complete personality rewrite that happens when the main character transforms. |

| Star Vs. the forces of evil. Far and away my least favorite. NOT because it's western; but because of the MC. I just don't like her and I feel like it was trying to hard to be like sailor moon in some ways?? I dunno. I just don't like it that much. ^^' |

| Winx Club
Don't get me wrong, i love the series and have been a fan for 9 years now but if i were to rank all the magical girl anime i've seen Winx Club would be the lowest because there are series' that are way better (W.I.T.C.H, Star Vs The Forces of Evil....) |
