| Oh my god. A whole day of oozing fanservice and moe-moe moments. But that's not what or why am I watching for! I do not have a problem with "harem" anime or anything that is oozing with boobs, pantsuu, bikinis, and uhh... Lingerie, but at times this is a problem for some feminist-heavy ladies. What also stands me out is that Date A Live "claims" that the animation budget is spent more on the anime adaptation than any other... Or so said by one of the anime forums. I actually don't care about that, lol! Now what stand out for me...?
- Seeing so many pictures of Yoshino, the girl in the bunny hoodie with a puppet... She's everywhere on my FB!
- And that the girl in black hair is voiced by Marina Inoue, known for Yoko of Gurren Lagon, but also my favorites like Jessica Ushiromiya (Umineko) and Nao Midorikawa (Smile PreCure)!
So I was intend to watch it, but I was to late to discover it and had to hold it off until now... A free time without any RP interruptions for a sake of catching up to an anime. I knew the harem problem is going to be there, but it balances off with action and a serious-sounding plot (even though it's so on-the-top)! Here's the Synopsis: - Quote :
- Itsuka Shido is a high school boy. On the last day of the spring holidays, an explosion destroys the town and a girl in armor appears in front of him. Shido's sister-in-law, Kotori, tells him that the girl is called "Special Disasterous Designated Creature: Spirit", which causes a timespace quake. Kotori disclosed that she is the commander of the anti-spirit organization Ratatosk and orders him to go out on a date with the spirit girl. Kotori says, "I don't ask you to beat the spirit. Just let her fall in love with you and save the world."
So yea.... So instead of killing the girl(s) like the mecha-girl organization, Shido has to date the girl and seal their powers away by a kiss after raising their love affection like a main character in a dating sim. I thought that this was crazy, but I was squealing along the way! I only gave it a "good" raiting on my MAL, but Tohka and Yoshino won my heart! (Though Kurumi, the yandere psychopath Spirit won on a third landslide!) I think the anime can be enjoyable if you are not to bothered by the ooze of fanservice and harem themes! (Basically Shido is involved in a love triangle...) (Okay I'm done gushing now. And I'm not done with my anime catch-up...) |
