Okay, so I mentioned in Lady Luck's intro that I also had a fanfiction idea. While I'm not sure when or if I'm going to get around to it, here is the scene that came to me first. ^^

The taste of blood was intoxicating.

As the dark haired man lifted his head, wet warmth continued to flow from the noblewoman's wound. The stained arrow shaft between his fingers snapped with a twitch, before allowing the ruined wood to fall to the forest floor. She jerked at the sound. Not quite unconscious, shallow though her breathing was. However easy it would've been to end her life, there seemed little point to it.

He ran his tongue over his lips as he listened to her heartbeat, catching stray droplets of blood. As he finally came to a conclusion, he brought his wrist to his mouth and bit down. Veins promptly burst as the sharp fangs slid through them, before he allowed the elixer to dribble over the hole in the redhead's throat.

She almost immediately began coughing as it hit her damaged windpipe, while his hand slid underneath her head to keep her from blocking his own blood. Though the flow of it was already slowing from the dual gashes, it took little effort to guide his abnormality into her. All movement ceased in the prolonged wait, succumbing to blood loss and pain induced exhaustion. Leaving the amber eyed man to his own devices.

But with the inkling of an idea, things were going to get interesting.

This really sounds interesting. Is it going to involve vampires? I like vampires. :P

Heheh, yes, it does involve vampires. But my vampires tend to differ from the traditional elements of them, in both this idea and in my one vampire novel. Providing it gets written sometime soon, though, it won't be entirely romance focused. Romance will just play a key element in the plotline, or, at least, part of the direction.

I imagine that the characters in this snippet are obvious, though. ;)

XD, not sure about that. Vampires can be good, but they have to be written in a way that's not beating a dead horse.

Indeed. Luckily vampires have taken the back burner and Zombies are now popular.

Yeah. The vampire craze burnt itself out, much to my relief. Maybe, just maybe, by the time that one vampire novel I have is published, it won't be seen as a tired attempt to jump on a bandwagon.

On the flip side, this story will be a fun distraction.

I know that feeling. I would love to write a vampire story.I do have one in mind actually.

well is this story really taking place in the medieval times?

Not medieval times in the literal, historical sense. It's the setting, per se. Like, say, I were to do a crossover and put the characters in the "Legend of Zelda" setting. That is, essentially, medieval times. But they're magically advanced.

You could compare this setting to that, since I'm also involving the Mew Aqua.

I like how it's very detailed. I always admire people can write in great detail. I do my best to do that as well, but sometimes I feel like I'm not good at it.

It just takes practice. After getting a couple critiques on my first fanfiction, I made a point to think about sensory details as well as descriptive ones. And because of that, now vanilla writing styles seem dull to me, XD, since I make a point to paint a picture for the reader.
