Nintendo's next home console. Allows players to take their favorite games on the go!
I'm in love. I'm saving up for this baby!

Well I'm currently playing the New Zelda game Breath of The Wild. In the summer Splatoon 2 is coming out so I'm looking forward to that. Nintendo is releasing a new IP called ARMS in the spring. It's a fighting/boxing game. It looks fun! I want to get it. Then during Christmas a new Mario game is coming out and it's looks awesome.

It's funny that it became a thing. I have no desire to lick my games. Lol

Finally got my hands on one of these, along with Mario Odyssey and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
The console itself is gorgeous. The visual quality still amazes me, even compared to the likes of the Wii U and ESPECIALLY its Gamepad. Only thing is I'm very paranoid about the thing overheating, especially when it's docked and hooked up to the TV. The dock that it came with is a neat idea, but it really shouldn't closed off inside there, just blocking the heat from escaping. It only takes about 10-15 minutes for the little fan to start going off and then I'm just like "Nope."
It doesn't heat up as much when played on handheld mode, but I usually just prop it on a table and use the joycons attached together as a controller.
I also feel kinda skittish about keeping the thing in sleep mode all the time. I feel more compelled to just shut it down entirely, but then I found out that the joycons don't charge when you do that.

Haha. Dont worry your Switch will be fine. I play my Switch mostly docked and I have no problems.
As for sleep mode dont worry about it. I used to turn my off when I first got it. Then like you I discovered the joy cons don't charge. I had no problems with keeping it in sleep mode. Actually it's quite nice to pause a game and come back to it later. The boot up from sleep mode is super fast.

Oh Nintendo you sneaky dogs. Last week I sold the Wii U and all of my games for it. The only things I kept were the pro controller (since a $20 adapter will let me use it on the PC) and the Gamecube controller adapter that literally only worked on Smash Bros. The latter was rotting in a drawer since I preferred Smash on the 3DS anyway.
Then I find out two things. Literally the day after I sold the Wii U, Smash Bros for Switch was announced. Then while randomly browsing a friend's twitter, I see a video about how the Wii U/GC controller adapter works on ALL Switch games. I tried it out and it does!
I tried it out on BOTW and it while it does work for the game, there aren't enough buttons to perform all of the game's functions, so no crouching and no using either of the shiekah slate's functions, unless they snuck those in somehow like pressing two buttons at the same time.
The Gamecube controller really refuses to die. XD No complaints there, but I'm totally fine using the joycons locked together. Really with that set up I don't even know why the Switch has its own pro controller.

Yeah isn't that cool? I wonder if they're going to use that adaptor for Smash Switch. Also GameCube VC games! I still have my 4 orinigal GameCube controllers. They all work fine.
