Has anyone ever played the playstation video game by using a rom?



It looks really cute. It features Ringo and a new alien. I can't remember his name. It's a rgp game.

I remember I tried to play it once, but had no clue what I was doing because of my inability to understand Japanese. I wish there was a fan rom of it...

I've played the whole thing. It's short for an RPG but it's really fun. I got lost in the Ice Mountain for the longest time but then I found out that I could transfer myself using the terminals in the area XD.

BTW, the proper name for the alien guy is Gâteau du Roi, which is French for "King Cake". Tokyo Pop mistranslated it. Luckily the Kodansha re-translation fixed that.

Did mention him in the manga? I dont remember that.

I would love to play this game even though I'm not a huge game roleplayer. I dont understand Japanese though. XD I wish someone would translate it like they did with Sailor Moon.

Yeah. In volume 6 of the manga, there was extras talking about the game and TokyoPop misspelled his name as "Gato". The spelling stuck and fans started spelling is full name as "Gato du Rowa" without realizing that it was suppose to be something French.

As for the game itself, I'm surprised that there isn't and English mod for it. Although, I understand how hard it would be to make one. RPGs have different ways of telling the stories depending on which characters you choose and other things you decide on. So translating every little scenario could be hard.
I was pretty lucky to beat the game. I can't read Japanese very well but I can understand spoken Japanese a lot better (still nowhere near fluent though) and there is a lot of voice work in the game.

I never thought about it like that. I guess I could always just watch videos of people playing it.

There are plenty of walkthroughs and Let's Plays for it.

I plan on doing a Let's Play for a different Mew Mew game (a current AMV I'm working on and my 3rd manga comparison review take priority first). It's a CD-Rom game based on the Korean dub of the show. I recently made a wiki page for it. It's incomplete since I have to play it again so I can remember other details about the game but there's still plenty of info to get started. I would love to play it but I doubt I'll get very far with zero Japanese...

I have heard of this game, but it would be fun to get to actually play it. But I don't understand a lick of the writing system. T_T
