Okay so to make things easier for people who dont have the game let's post in here about the progress of our games!


I wont post my team yet, but my thoughts so far. I got X by the way. This game is worth the hype. I got the game last night at midnight with a friend we came back to my house and we couldnt resist and put the games into our 3DSs. I fell in love with it right away and is just blown away by the sheer awesomeness of the game. 

The freakn graphics of this game! The battle arena changes depending on the area you are in and there is detail!! The pokemon battles look like pokemon stadium games, but the pokemon look better. 

The music is great! I can tell so far it has awesome remixes from the old games.

Your friends!! Your friends rock! :D I love the fact that they can call you by a nickname! I actually named my character after me. I used my full name Elizabeth. Then when I found out they wanted to give you a nickname and you get to pick. I was like they can call me by Liz!! Cause thats what my friends and family call me! 

The clothes! So in the city with the first gym there is a shop where you can buy hats! I bought one and to look at the clothes feature. Your mom does give you one more outfit by the way. I can tell this feature is going to be fun. In the pokemon centers you can change your outfits there.

So anywho thats it for now! I only have one badge so far. I have to go run errands today with my mom for a bit. I will update my progress when I get back!

I chose Squirtle for my gen 1 starter but haven't used him.  

I spent most of today stat training.  I think I'm OCD with it.  Paco and Georgette still need some work though. >.<

No cookies for me expect for Rubilax because you told me! XD

What is a Floette? 

I did a little stat training with Skiddo, but his numbers didnt change in his summary? Do they never change?

Floette is Flebebe's evolution.

The stat training affects the base stats.  I think it sets the limits for how high your stats can get as you level.  With EV training, if I understand it properly, battling certain pokemon helps raise certain base stats.

See I have never gotten base stats....So it changes the base stats so when I level up do the stats get higher then?

When you level your stats raise, probably until they reach the limit of the base stats.  I'm not sure.  I'm not used to working with base stats.

I dont even get base stats. T-T Skiddo seems to be a lot stronger though since I cleared stage 1 with him with super training.

Yeah.  That's how my pokemon seemed.  I don't know the extent of base stats, but I like making them stronger.  Higher stats is always better, right? XD

I've been away for the holiday weekend so I haven't gotten my copy yet, but I'm still really excited.
Do you guys mind me asking what regions your 3DSes are set to?  I want to collect all the Vivillon patters so I'm looking for people with as many different ones as possible.  I'm going to be a polar pattern if either of you want one of those.

Wait, what.  There's enough characters to name your character Elizabeth this gen?  What?
I'm still going to name my character Seth, but it's pretty cool that I could name her Elisabeth if I wanted to ahaha.

I spent a ridiculous amount of time super training.  But I mean what's not to love about it?  It's essentially EV training for people like me who were always too lazy to properly EV train.

* means pokemon from my side team. In pokemon games I always have 4 main pokemon and 2 side pokemon. I basically switch out two pokemon throughout my journey. 

Right now I am exploring the city trying to get into the damn clothes store. Oh by the way when your in Lumisoe save inside buildings! There have been reports where people saved on the streets and their game froze causing them reset their whole file!

It'll be set to whatever region you set your Mii to.  It'll show up under your profile as Location 1 and Location 2.  Like when you add me you'll see my Location 1 is Canada and Location 2 is Ontario.

Also, I'm so bad.  I have almost eleven hours of play time and I still haven't reached the second gym ahaha.  At least all my Pokés have maxed out EVs though (except Vivillon who I probably won't use late game).

Some people have found a makeshift solution to that bug so it's not as big a threat anymore, but yes.  Don't save anywhere near taxis and do it in buildings if you can.  And I feel your pain, my first time in Lumiose City I spent almost twenty minutes looking for the hair salon on the one street.  This should help if you're still having trouble.

I'm between the second and third gym.  Working on my EVs.  I maxed out two out of six.  Then I'm going to work on my pokemon's affection towards me.  I'm never going to make it to the third gym...
