I hope I'm posting this in the right place! So what do you guys think of the Codename: Sailor V manga? I freaking love it. Minako is by far my favorite senshi, so a manga dedicated to just her is amazing. It's so much funnier than the Sailor Moon manga, too... It's like those first seven episodes of the classic anime where Usagi was by herself, just as a whole series. I love how it ran at the same time as the Sailor Moon manga, too, so there are lots of cameos of the other characters. And it's also just really neat how it kind of starts off as a prototype series and ends as a prequel. I'm just sad this never got an anime. It would've made an awesome OVA.

Yes you did! I own the Sailor V manga! I had to make sure I owned it. Before it got licensed in the US I read scanlations online and fell in love with it. I enjoyed this series better the Sailor Moon manga. Naoko seems better at writing about a small group of characters versus a huge group of characters. I really wish this series was made into an anime than Crystal. =( We don't need another version of Sailor Moon. Having a Sailor V series would be refreshing. At least make it into an OVA or a movie.

I agree completely! Sailor V doesn't get enough love. I would've loved to see her manga costume animated, too... I was not really a fan of the changes they made to her costume in the original anime. (Granted, we only really saw it in cameos, but. Still.) I used to own this series in Japanese, actually, before the English copies came out. I had the original three volume version. I actually had the first volume in French, too... It's a long story. I know nothing about French, really. Either way, I sold them in the end, because I didn't need them anymore and I wanted to make room for other manga.

It would be nice if they could have done a Sailor V movie, as they did with Ami's First Love, if they were going to decide against a series. I would love to see what she was up to before she met up with the rest of the senshi

If they made a movie now in Crystal canon, I'd be interested to see how they handle Ace Kaitou now that Venus/Kunzite is a thing. Probably not much differently, but it would be interesting to see Ace's reaction to the relationship in the past.

I absolutely loved this manga. I got it last year when i heard it was out on the shelves. Minako's story as Sailor V was funny and sad too.
