Some of my favorite parts of the manga aren't actually in the main series at all; they're in the side stories. Like with Sailor V, I like how lighthearted and funny they were. They reminded me of the anime in terms of tone, something that I appreciate a lot more now.

My favorites are Chibiusa's Picture Diary: The Secret of Hammer Price Shrine, Rei and Minako's Girls School Battle, and Parallel Sailor Moon. The first one especially; that was not only the first of the short stories I ever read, but it also showed Chibiusa and Hotaru's relationship, which is probably my favorite relationship in the entire series. Though, I do hate the way Kodansha decided to translate Naruru and Ruruna's dialogue... It's beyond obnoxious, though that was probably the intent.

The side stories are the best part of the story in my opinion. While do love Kouasgi I wasn't crazy about the side story's plot. To have the senshi's daughter's all hate her is a bit extreme if you ask me.

Yeah, that's true. And it was also pretty lame how the other senshi's daughters had basically the same names and appearances as their mothers. But I've always liked Kousagi's design, and the whole story was just so out-there, I always had a soft spot for it.

My thoughts on them

Chibiusa's Picture Diary: Love them. All of them. The story's are so cute, it shows the girls interacting with one another as friends and...yeah not much else to say!

Secret of Hammer Price Shrine: This one was kinda meh. I felt it was kinda boring

Parallel Sailor Moon: My favourite out of all of them. Kousagi is so cute and the story is lighthearted. But all of the inners daughters basically being carbon copies of their mothers - seriously not creative. And geez, Kousagi really did nothing to deserve their hate and her torment.

There was this side story where there was this vampire at Chibiusa's school. Then, Chibiusa or someone else used a garlic attack(if i recall correctly). It was hilarious.

Yup, yup! That was the first Chibiusa's Picture Diary story! I think there was a loose adaptation of it in the anime, actually, it was one of the SuperS specials.

Yeah they made it for the SuperS special. I like that short as well. I wish the other picture diary stories were animated.

I liked this dentist story where Super sailor moon and Sailor V( or venus ) show up  together.
