Ladybug was going to tease him, but his beauty comment through her off. She blushed and looked away. What was with her tonight? He was acting like he normally did, but in a suit. A nice suit. She shook her head. She had to stay strong. "Oh? Really? What are you a model?"

Chat smirked, trying not to hesitate.  Any hesitation might give him away.  "Who knows? You could be hanging with the most popular model in France." He laughed at the irony while trying to make it seem like a massive joke.  Sure, he wouldn't mind exchanging their identities, but not until both of them wanted to. 

As they spoke, the music transitioned from upbeat to a slow, more romantic melody. Chat smiled again. Maybe... 

He took a step backwards and bowed, reaching his hand towards hers.  "Could I interest you in a dance, my lady?"

Ladybug couldn't hold back a laugh as well. Now she was curious about his true identity, but if he showed her his she would have to show hers as well. Then suddenly the music changed and Ladybug felt her cheeks turned red once again, when he asked her to dance. He was acting so formal now. She looked away unsure and saw Alya standing a feet away. She gave her an encouraging look. Ladybug then looked back at Chat. She reached for his hand. "Sure.."

They went out on the dance floor and Chat took the lead. As they dance not once she stepped on his foot. She was afraid of that since she has never ballroom danced before. As the music continued on he pulled her closer to him. Ladybug's heart began to race. He then spun her and she returned right to his chest. They were now locked into each other's gaze.

He nearly melted when she agreed to dance with him. Truthfully, he hadn't expected it, but he led her to the dance floor without hesitation. He was pretty sure he wouldn't be able to form a coherent sentence by the time she was close to his chest.

He stared into her deep blue eyes, his heart racing. He almost forgot to continue his lead of the dance.  He faltered for a moment before remembering where they were.  The dance ended a little too soon, and they slowly pulled away from each other.  

"You're a great dancer," he said with a small smile.  The people around them were watching closely now, but he barely minded them.  The only person he cared about right now was Ladybug.

"You are too," she mumbled. She heart was still pounding and her cheeks were still red. She slowly walked off the dance floor and almost tripped in her high heels. Ladybug now felt hot and she glanced back at Chat. "I'm going to get some fresh air."

She walked outside on to a balcony. It had a great view of the city. Ladybug walked over to railing and took a deep breath. The air felt cool and crisp. You can tell fall was coming to an end soon. She then looked up on the sky. What on earth happened in there? Was he always this charming? She always thought he was just a flirt (which she has gotten used too). 

Ladybug made a noise of frustration. Again her heart was still pounding fast. Why was this happening!? She liked Adrien not Chat Noir!

Chat watched her go, internally jumping for joy at the fact he just got to dance with her. He unsure of whether or not she wanted a moment to herself or she really just needed fresh air. She had been extremely close to him in a very not snarky way, and he had to wonder if she had really meant for it to happen. Either way, the chance to get close to her left his mind melted with happiness as he headed towards one of the caterers to grab them drinks.

He was so busy thinking about Ladybug that he made the same mistake she had while he was still Adrien.  He walked right into the man he had meant to avoid.

"Slamming into people must be a superhero talent," Gabriel said, his eyes filled with annoyance.

Chat straightened, so used to formality around his father that he had forgotten the mask he wore.  "My apologies. I wasn't paying attention..." he answered.

"That much was obvious," Gabriel said.

Chat frowned, still frozen in place.  It was so ingrained in him to wait to be excused, and the situation was quickly becoming awkward. 

Gabriel stared down at him, "Don't you have somewhere to be?" It was obvious he wanted him out of his sight, and Chat took that as the perfect moment to leave.

"Yes.. Enjoy your evening, sir" Chat said and turned quickly back to where one of the caterers had drinks. He briefly wondered why his father had such animosity towards both of Paris's heroes. Was it really just because they ran into him, or was that just his father being his typical icy self?

Chat grabbed a couple glasses of punch from one of the caterers (Alya had disappeared somewhere..) and headed outside to where his partner stood by the railing. "How's the fresh air? Would you like some punch?"

"Yes, thank you," Ladybug the cup from Chat and took a big sip. It helped her calm down a bit. She then looked at him with a playful smile. "I had no idea you could actually dance." She took another sip of her punch. "Are you from a rich family or something?"

Chat returned the smile, "Rich, or just well versed in the arts. I didn't know we were playing 20 questions. I'll answer yours if you answer mine."  Of course, he knew she would refuse, but she was guessing too many things about him that he wasn't ready to reveal unless it was time for them to know.  His semi-denial could just as easily confirm that he was rich now that he thought about it.

He took a drink from his cup of punch and listened to the music emanating through the walls to the balcony. He already wanted to dance with her again. "Would you like to dance again? You seemed to enjoy the first dance."

Ladybug thought for a moment. She did actually enjoy herself? Yeah she did. She placed her glass on the railing and grabbed his hand. "I would love too." 

They began their dance and it was just has heart racing like the first one. Ladybug couldn't keep her eyes off of him. It was like the whole world disappeared and they were the only two left in existence. The music ended and Ladybug returned to the railing. She took one final sip of her punch and tried to calm her nerves. A cold breeze flew by and she shivered a bit.

Chat didn't want to pull away as the music ended. Other than that run in with his father, tonight had been perfect; like a dream.  Just having her close to him was enough to have his heart racing, and the fact she was enjoying herself made it even better.

He joined her at the railing as the song ended. The city was beautiful tonight with the skyline bathed in bright lights and the shape of the Eiffel Tower shining brightly in the distance.  Truly the perfect view for the perfect night.

He was about to move closer to her when she shivered.  He frowned and quickly took off his jacket and draping it over her shoulders. He hesitated a moment, trying to decide where the line was before gently placing an arm around her shoulder.  "You seem cold, my lady. Do you think this will help?"

She smiled at him. "Yes it does. Thank you." Without realizing it she lean into him. This was really nice. She looked up at him and they both stared into each other's gazes. His eyes were shining brightly in the moon. She found herself being pulled closer to him. It was like she was trapped in a spell and before she knew it she kissed him on the lips. 

The kiss went on for a bit before Ladybug realized what she had done. She jumped backed and her face was completely red. Ladybug felt all flustered. "I'm sorry...! I don't know what came over me!!"

Chat's eyes widened as her lips met his.  Like so many things tonight, it was both unexpected and amazing. His heart raced as his eyes closed and he deepened the kiss, holding her close and not wanting the kiss to end. 

Finally, the kiss ended as his partner seemed to realize what exactly was happening. Her blush almost matched the shade of her dress, and he had to stop himself from commenting on how cute she was. "No need to apologize, bugaboo. You truly are amazing at everything you do."

"No, I'm not!" She lightly punched him in the arm. Ladybug was surprised he didn't tease her. She turned her attention to the moon. She felt it was best to change the subject. But what? What do you talk about after a kiss?" "So um..what should we talk about?" She looked back at him with an awkward smile.

Chat laughed. "You know, we could still play that game of 20 questions I mentioned earlier," he joked.  She wouldn't go for it. He knew that for sure, but it was still fun to suggest. "Or, we could talk about how our lives are going, with or without revealing details of what we do in our spare time. I'm still interested in what you do when you're no Ladybug, and I'm sure you've been curious about me before."

He paused for a moment, another suggestions on the tip of his tongue.  She wouldn't agree.  There was no reason to bring it up.  But he was feeling a little bolder.  He fiddled with his ring, moving it back and forth while keeping it firmly on his finger.  

"Or... We could talk about our real selves..."

Ladybug just stared at him. He really wanted to know who she was in real life. She bit her lip and looked away. It probably would be better if they knew. Incidents like Criminal Mastermind. She looked back at him and noticed he was playing with his ring. "Do you really want to know?"
