So, as a PMMM fan and a completionist -I pretty much want to try and read/own all of the PMMM materials I can get my hands on

But the problem with that is Madoka Magica has ALOT of spin-off manga. The serious, the silly, and the sucky. 

So, I'm gonna try to compile a list for myself (and others), and maybe a short description and some cover art, if I can.

1) Puella Magi Madoka Magica


The 1st manga, a straight up adaptation of the TV series.

2) Puella Magi Madoka Magica~the Different Story


-An alternate Retelling of the TV series, this time with Mami as the lead

3) Puella Magi Oriko Magica

-A spin-off/alternate timeline of the TV series, portraying two new magical girls who are trying to stop a foreseen misfortune by killing the magical girls in town.

4) Oriko Magica~ Extra Story/Sadness Prayer Chapters

-Additonal stories with the characters from PMOM including prequels and alternate timelines.

5) Puella Magi Kazumi Magica


-A totally original spinoff about A mysterious girl, Kazumi, her role in fighting witches with the "Pleiades Saints"

6) Puella Magi Madoka Magica-Rebellion Story


- A manga adaptation of the Rebellion Movie

7) Puella Magi Suzune Magica

- Another original spin-off, focusing on Suzune, a magical girl killer. But why?

8) Puella Magi Tart Magica (incomplete)

- Spin-off Manga telling Jeanne de Arc's story as a magical girl

9) Madoka Magica: Homura's Revenge


-(I have no idea what this one's about)

THE. DIFFERENT. STORY.

It made me actually kind of like the characters. It handled their development in a way that I found much better than the anime proper, and now that all of the "dark truths" are no surprise, it doesn't feel like it's trying to pull cheap shock value stunts every five minutes. It also does a very good job of showing instead of telling, something the anime severely lacked.

They even made Kamijou likeable! I don't know how that's possible.
