I'm going to be honest in saying this is probably one of the most pleasant surprises I've had in a long time.

For those don't know this will be the first NISA anime release with an English dub (Although far from the first dub produced by Bang Zoom) which makes this announcement all the more surprising especially considering the show is now 6 years old when most popular anime get dubs only a year or two after they air on Japanese TV.

Putting all that aside though I love the show so I'm really glad this is happening.

I couldn't really see Toradora with anyone but Kugimiya, but an American release in any form is just wonderful. Toradora is the only anime I've ever had to stop myself from marathoning the whole thing in just a couple days. Loads of fun.

Anywho! I have heard of this anime. What is about?

In brief, Takasu Ryuuji is a normal student, who has the face of a thug, because of that he thinks he can't make his crush, Minori Kushieda to love him. In the same timing, the "Tenori Taiga"(palmtop tiger) Taiga aisaka, is an agressive, insecure and volatile girl who everyone fears.

Taiga has a negative attitude towards others and will not hesitate to snap at people. After meeting Ryūji, she takes an instant dislike to him. Taiga comes from a rich family, but she has moved out to live on her own due to family issues. She is coincidentally living in an apartment next to Ryūji's. When Ryūji discovers that Taiga has a crush on Yūsaku, and Taiga finds out about Ryūji's affections towards Minori, Ryūji suggests that they cooperate to win the objects of their affections.

Taiga exploits the fact that Ryūji will do anything to get closer to Minori. She makes him her personal servant, getting him to do all her household chores (cooking and cleaning). Taiga spends a lot of her time over at his house, so much that she could almost be considered a member of his family. Since Ryūji spends a lot of time with Taiga, he has opened up to her world and to a side of her that most people do not see. The two also try to help each other improve the way people view them. However, people they know from school start to become curious about their strange relationship and rumors begin to spread about them behind their backs.

The issue gets even more interesting when Taiga actually is interested in him. She gets angry, jealous or cold towards him when another girl talks to him, but even such intense feelings, Taiga wants her friend Minori to be happy, Likewise Ryuuji wants her to be with Yusaku, to top it all off, Yusaku's childhood friend, Kawashima ami, comes into play. Beautiful, spoiled and arrogant she mocks Taiga, however Ryuuji discovers this a mere act and that she is like that due to being profesional model. Because of this, Kawashima goes after Ryuuji...

I'm happy they're keeping the original songs I love "My Silky Heart" sung by Yui Horie! and the dub looks good enough.

Sounds like my kind of show! The dub sounds good too!

Watched the first episode! I am hooked! I shall watch the rest this weekend.
