Do we have any bronies/pegaus sisters here on the site? I adore this show! I like how the characters are interesting and kids do learn the value of friendship, but it isnt beaten into your head like pulp.
Season 4 came out yesterday and I will say this it looks really promising!

Ehhh... I used to like the show during the first season and a half. Season two just didn't sit well with me.
One thing I did like about it was that it's the kind of show that anyone can enjoy. It doesn't feel one of those shows that's made for tots like Dora The Explorer, it doesn't feel like the kind of show no guy would want to watch, like all those Barbie movies.
Another thing I really liked was that the episodes had good morals and lessons, which are sorely missed from modern media.
Favorite character was definitely Pinkie Pie, but I couldn't win with her. Either she had too little focus in episodes, or episodes that focused on her were terrible, like the one where she goes insane over her friends hiding a surprise party.

I love episodes where the girls go crazy. XD Lesson Zero where Twilight goes insane is my favorite episode.

Just watched the new episode. Season 4 looks like it's going to be fun. Love all the backstory they were able to effectively fit in there.

Few words: I love the show, but I hate the rapid 4chan-type fandom. And those that put the show or fandom a bad image.
I admit that the later seasons got a bit weaker, but I still have hope and I will "round down" my favorite S4 episodes on my fan-page on FB later on when it finishes! So far I like the Daring Doo and Scootaloo episode. Some humor and S1 references are there too.
I like collecting the toys too, but not all of them due to my lack of space and my mom's dislike for me owning "toys".
My favorite is Rarity thanks to the episode "Suited for Success". Plus even her brushie toy looks... Good. <3
Kinda got tired RPing as a pony... Mostly because I'm surrounded by the human/anime RPs I want to get involved in.

There are some really cool things that fandom has made, but for the most part the fandom is insane.
This is the cutest thing ever!

I love MLP: FiM! Unfortunately, I don't watch it very often and i've hardly watched any episodes. I LOVE Pinky Pie (we have a lot in common) and then I like Twilight Sparkle. That always happens to me though in any show or film etc, my favourite characters are always the one's that I'm most like and/or the leader or the one who I look up to the most :) xx

I love FIM! It's pretty much the show that restored my faith in Western cartoons. Unfortunately I've fallen behind and haven't kept up with the new season 5 episodes.

Earlier in this thread I mentioned that even though Pinky Pie is my favorite character, her focus episodes tend to be not so great. I wondered why that is for a while, why she's so great in episodes that don't focus on her, but when the spotlight's on her it's just not all that interesting.
Then I was watching TheMysteriousMrEnter on youtube, an MLP fan who reviews a lot of western cartoons. He argued in one video that putting the spotlight on a comic relief character rarely works because their whole purpose is just that, to provide comic relief, and that their antics work better when they play off of more serious characters, such as Twilight.
Considering I stopped watching halfway through the second season I probably don't have much right to talk, but of the episodes I've seen that focused on her, I liked the babysitting one best, and even that was kinda... Okay. It's just that a lot of Pinkie's most memorable scenes do involve her playing off other characters, how they react to her and how she interacts with them. She doesn't even apply to the laws of physics and most of the time it's hilarious because it's not an actual plot point, it's just a thing that happens because it's hilarious.

My favorite Pinkie episode was the one with Cranky Doodle. I feel like that's one of the best episodes with her in the spot light. There's a reason for her antics. She's trying to befriend an old donkey. Plus the Smile song! I love Pinkie's songs. <3

It's definitely a good TV show for young girls. I only watched a couple of episodes and was impress with the series. The mane six have unique personalities that anyone who watches it can relate to one of them.
