The poster says something to the above person about their wish. It has to be granted, but something bad has to happen.
Then that poster makes another wish. And so on.

For example:
Starter: I wish to be #1 poster.
Poster: Granted, but a mod deletes 99.99% of your posts. You're not #1 anymore.

I wish for Coke.

Poster #2: Granted, but when you open the bottle it fizzes onto your face.
(And so on)

granted, but IRS came by and audited you which took away all of your money.

I wish for cheese!

Granted, but it turns out to be moldy.

I wish for the complete Pokemon manga set, XD. (36+ volumes.)

Granted, but a charmander comes by and sneezes fire and burns all the manga!

I wish for a beach house!

Granted, but a storm will destroy the house

I wish for free internet.

Granted, but the virus effected your computer.

I wish to be able to speak German.

Granted, but your accent is too thick to be understood.

I wish that some of my world-building was done, XD.

Granted, but a terrible disaster destroys all your efforts.

I wish I had a N64.

Granted, but the memory cards don't work.

I wish I had a PS2.

Granted, but you have no memory cards either. P.S N64 have no memory cards. :P

I wish I had a hawk.

(Memory cards go in the controllers. So, yeah, they do. :P )

Granted, but it eats a fluffy animal.

I wish I could draw humans well.

Granted, but water gets dumped on to your drawing and its ruin.

I wish I had all the zelda games.

64 games had built in memory. The thing that went into controls was a special device for certain games that were too much for N64 engined. Like Majora's Mask.

Granted but you will never finish them all.
