| As most people know Viz has the rights to Sailor Moon currently they are posting episodes of series on Hulu in Japanese with English subs. Then on their DVDs they have a brand new Dub and it's uncut.
I own part 1 and part 2 of the first season. I am in love with this dub! I think I watched up to episode 10? Usagi and Rei have the best voices so far. Everyone else is a work in progress (looking at you Ami), but I'm sure they'll get better over time. |

| I tried watching it online... I didn't really care too much for it, but honestly, I think it's because I'm so used to the Japanese version. It didn't help that I started with the first episode, which I have seen sooo many times... I noticed every single change in the dialogue and it bothered me. I might try watching it again, though, when they get to S... That's where I left off, so I may as well start there. |

| The voices get better. Hoesntly I dont care about the dialogue as long as if it has the same meaning and they don't change major plot points. Like the old dub did.
By the way. Nephrite had such a sexy voice. I want to married it. |

| After numerous delays the first set just came out in Australia. Because of the whole Viz Blu-ray screw up Madman decided to cancel the Blu-ray release altogether and just work on creating a high quality DVD release. Though after hearing this dub I'm convinced that the screw up was probably not due to a lack of effort on their part.
I'm 5 episodes in and it's great. My biggest fear was that the dub would sound too 'modern' (After all, the show's 20 years older than the dub) but it's not like that at all. If I wasn't so familiar with the VAs, you could easily trick me into thinking that the dub came out around the same time as the show. Apparently Takeuchi got the final say on all the casting choices so it only makes snese. I'm guessing neither her nor Toei wanted another blunder like what happened towards the end of the old dub where voice actors were just randomly replaced without any sort of proper auditioning process.
I find it a bit weird that 'Gomen ne' and 'Shinjiteiru-no' remain untranslated in the subtitles for the OP although this was apparently at the request of the lyricist. Weird considering the terms are pretty generic and have direct English translations, but whatever floats their boat. |

| I love the Viz Media English Dub of Sailor Moon because it is faithful to the Original Japanese version and it has very excellent voice acting too. I even got the first and second seasons of Sailor Moon on DVD with the Viz Media English Dub along with the Original Japanese version. I am planning on getting the rest of the Sailor Moon DVDs along with the movies too. |
