I'm going to rewatch the Japanese series since it's been forever. It's terrible that the founder of a TMM forum remembers jack squat! So here in this thread I will write overviews on each episode that include my thoughts and screencaps. I started do this last summer on my tumblr blog, but when I got home from work I was too tired because of the heat.

episode 1 and probably episode 2 will be out tonight! :3

Sadly I can't stream it. D: Livestream kills my computer (the poor thing) and I cant find any other good live streaming website like live stream. If I could stream it I would! I love watching things on livestream with people.

I know! The SM stream on GC was fun, but now I never seem to be off work in time. That or I just flat miss it.

I'm too lazy to get on it these days! XD

Okay here we go!

Episode One: Turning into a Cat! Justice lies in a Girl in Love! Nya!

I like the little opening narrated by Keiichiro. It's nice a little intro for the audience. Out of the little openings it's my favorite.

As for the opening song, My Sweet Heart! I love this song!! It's upbeat and singer's voice is cute.

So we start out with Ichigo asking Aoyama to go to the Red Data Exhibit with her. The moment Aoyama starts talking I can't help, but laugh! His voice actress is the same person who voices Yukito from Cardcaptor Sakura. I saw that show first so to me when Aoyama talks I think it's Yukito talking. They sound the exact same! What's odd that both characters give advice to our main heroine. XD

So Yukito err I mean Aoyama tells Ichigo that he will go with her. She blushes in a very funny way and bubbles appear on screen when her friends Moe and Miwa congratulate her. Oh, bubbles! With hearts them! Fits nicely for a girl show!

But it's time to burst Ichigo's bubble because she's late for her date! Just going to briefly mention the dub here. 4kids has Ichigo rap her dreams because we all know people rap in their sleep. XD

I love watching Ichigo trying to get dressed quickly for her date and how she falls over. I wonder how often that happens to her. XD

So Ichigo leaves her home and makes her way to meet Aoyama. We get a nice little intro about her as she's running to the train station. Not only did TMM steal Yukito, but they also steal a bit of CCS's bgm. Well at least the tune that plays as Ichigo runs sound similar to a tune used in CCS.

Ichigo then explains about how popular Aoyama and how lucky she is to get to go out on a date with him. I truly never understand why almost 98%(I say 98% because Moe and Miwa aren't crazy about him ) of her school's girl population is crazy about Aoyama. If I went to that school I would focus on the other boys! No competition! ;)

When Ichigo meets up Aoyama he greets her with bubbles! That's it! Maybe that's why all the girls want him! Bubbles come out of no where when he greets people. Everyone loves bubbles!

So their date beings and I have to admit I like how their date is written out. It's very cute and I love how Ichigo keeps talking about the weather and Aoyama likes yep! It sure is nice! I find it cute that he keeps letting Ichigo bring it up because she's nervous.

As they wait in line Ichigo makes the best comment in this episode!

"Oh, that's because I researched everything about you.." Then Aoyama is confused and Ichigo brushes it off like it's nothing!

We got a stalker among us people! Look out! Kish would be proud! ;)

When they get through line a weird computer goes off. Hmm I wonder why? Could they be looking for terrorists!? Nah Ichigo may be a stalker, but she's no terrorist.

So the two of them look at the Iromote Wild Cat. Hmm I wonder if this important. Oh and Ichigo stares at Ayoama and says they have to protect the earth! More bubbles appear on screen when Aoyama agrees! Oh, man all these bubbles.

So we see Ichigo being watched by a camera and more computers go crazy! We then see two people! Hmm who could they be? They seem like stalkers since they're spying on Ichigo. Man Tokyo is filled with stalkers.

So after our love birds take their pictures in a photo booth the two them go to a park that is near by. Then my favorite scene of this episode happens! Ichigo thinks that they are going to kiss, but Aoyama just wants to talk about protecting nature with her!

Spoiler:

Haha Ichigo's face! God I love this scene! It makes me love Aoyama and all his dorkiness. Then he's all clueless to Ichigo's reaction. He's such a boy!

Anway Ichigo trips and he catches her then all the MxI fans scream in delight. Aoyama then goes to get some juice which is pop. Ichigo is all alone talking to herself. You shouldn't do that Ichigo!

So Ichigo goes all crazy over a cute cafe and then two mysterious people are talking about it's time for the project begin! One them presses a button and an earthquake happens! Then a light hits Ichigo and a cat appears before her. It merges with her and she likes how it feels.

What confuses me about this scene that she calls it the Iromote wildcat. Now that looks like a black cat to me. Also I really dont get the point of this scene. DNA is going into her body not a cat! I'm just thinking too deeply about this. Moving on!

After the eye catch, we see Ichigo fell asleep and when she wakes up, she tells Aoyama sorry for falling asleep. He doesn't mind at all. The next day at school Ichigo tells her friends that she fell asleep and Ichigo over reacts about it and then runs off to go watch Aoyama at his Judo practice. When the girls arrive they are too late to get a good view. God there are a ton of girls at that school. A lot of faceless girls! XD

When Aoyama takes off his face helmet, bubbles appear! But this time there are stars in them! Watch out everyone we got a badass here!

As the girls are standing in the back Ichigo is looking at the pictures from her date. A girl bumps into her and I dont understand why? I guess she was trying to get into the crowd, but some girl must have pushed her. Then when Ichigo's pictures get blown by the wind we see that they are clearly far away from the crowd. Anyway! Just a minor complaint! Ichigo grabs it and falls off the rail. She then some how lands on her feet cat like! She then runs away out of embarrassment. I wouldnt be! I would be like yeah! I am awesome!

The school day goes on and Ichigo acts more cat like. She even says it's going to rain? Do cats know that? Hmm maybe I should relie on cats for the weather than humans. Ichigo even ends up acting like a cat in front of Aoyama. The poor girl! It's okay Ichigo! Aoyama has no idea that you are!

So Ichigo gos back to that park (she's right about it's going to rain!) to try get a better understand of what's going. Oh, boy this girl loves talking to herself. She also likes talking to a picture! Ichigo then gets a weird feeling and runs into a wooden area of the park. The bgm that's playing also sounds similar to the bgm for the clow cards from CCS. Ichigo then sees Aoyama (how did he know she went there? Is he a stalker too!?) looking for her which makes her happy! As she tries to get to him we see a poor mouse eating a chip minding his own business and then suddenly a jellyfish merges with it and it becomes a monster!

It breaks the bench and purple fog comes out of no where. Aoyama goes over to the bench and gets hit by the mouse monster! Ichigo let's out an annoying scream and freaks out. The mouse monster is about to attack her, but a mysterious man saves her. He takes her up into the tree and leaps from tree to tree with her telling her she needs to stop the monster. Man that guy is good jumper!

So pushes to the monster and throws her a special pendant and she transform into Mew Ichigo! So I will say this about Ichigo's transformation. I like her 4kids transformation music better. It fits her personality better. Anyway it's a nice transformation. But I hate her ending pose. >.<


So Ichigo fights the monster and saves the day yay!! A very nice fight scene and I like when she gets knocked back you can hear her cat bell ring. A nice touch! :3 The only that bothers me that Ichigo spins in a circle when she does her attack. I never liked that. XD

So the mysterious people greet Ichigo and the brown headed one makes a comment on how Aoyama just fainted. Which makes me LOLZ because the mouse monster hit him. XD

So the brown headed guy tells Ichigo his name is Keiichiro and also introduces the other man by calling him Ryou. Keiichiro kisses Ichigo's hand and flowers appear! Thank God for no bubbles!

The the episodes ends with Ichigo being confused on what's going on.

Oh, yeah and it stopped raining!?

Then we get the ending theme! Love this theme! ^.^ It's tooo cute for it's own good!

So what did I learn from this episode?
Bubbles are evil
Everyone is a stalker
And don't stand too close to a cute cafe because it will cause an earthquake and inject animal DNA into you.

Okay! Serious time! This was very nice episode! It nicely introduces Ichigo and Aoyama and sets up the plot nicely. I like that it ends with a cliff hanger because it makes the viewer want to see more.

This sounds like a good idea. I need to find my episodes and do the same in the near future. Maybe it will inspire me to finish my nearly dead fanfic.

Nearly? It's dead! XD

I still want to write it, but I want to start all over. People will be mad at me... T-T

Now on to the next episode!!

This time I will not comment on everything. Just random thoughts I had throughout the episode. It takes me to do long to write up on everything little thing.


Episode 2: A New Comrade! Justice Lies in a Rwal Lady Nya! (our fansubbers do not know that every major word in a title needs to be capitalized.)


My thoughts on the intro opening:

So here is my major complaint about the series. They have little opening before the theme song in every episode. Now I get it because new episodes were probably aired weekly, but do really need it? I don't think the viewer wont forget especially when we get to Ichigo taking over them. I wonder if they took them out for the DVDs? Though I bet the fansubbers got hold of the DVD rips since this show is from 2002 and the internet was still young.

My thoughts On Ichigo finding out about the other mews:

To me this a plot hole, Ryou tells Ichigo she needs to find the other mews and the way for her to find out how is a mark on their body. Okay, first off. Not everyone is compatible with the animal DNA. So wouldn't Ryou and Keiichiro know who the other 4 girls are and show their pictures to Ichigo so she can find them? I mean they couldn't have just blindly shoot off 4 other stings of DNA and hope they find the right partner. At least in the manga all 5 girls were together and they could have screen all 5 girls with their computers.

Thoughts on Masha sensing things around Minto:
Okay so Masha senses a chrima anima around Minto throughout the second half of the episode. Now I'm guessing it's been following her the whole time? I wish they explain this better. :/ It somewhat confuses me.


Thoughts on Minto's Transformation:
It's my favorite! Love the music, but I dont like her ending pose. D:

Overall thoughts:

A good episode. I think it's a nice intro for Minto and they explain things well. The only thing I dont like about this episode that Ichigo's voice actress screams half her lines in this episode. Thank god she barely does that int he future episodes. Also in this episode the art has been downgraded. But it's not too bad like the next episode.

Things I Learn:
Ryou and Keiichiro are rich high students who own a cafe with too much free time on their hands.
Also Ichigo finds out that shes surrounded by stalkers!
Miki looks like a digimon when merged with a chrima anima.

Episode 3: A School Mystery! Revealing The Ghost's Identity! Nya!


Thoughts on the art:

Okay so this episode has really bad art in it. Usually I could careless about this, but I cant get over how bad it is! For the most part episode 3 has the look of episode 2, but there are WTF moments throughout this episode.

I will share some of these moments:

Thoughts on Ichigo's character:
In this episode we see Ichigo loves to whine about every little thing. It can be quite annoying, but I do understand why she whines. She's basically running the cafe herself (at least Keiichiro cooks!). The poor thing. Also I take back her voice actress stopped screaming her lines. Shes sill screaming in this episode. I hope she stops soon. >.>

Out of all anime series with characters who are afraid of ghosts Ichigo has the best reaction! XD

Minor note: In this episode we see Ichigo's tail bell on her cat tail while shes eating cake. We tend to see this in most episodes when her cat ears and tail pop out. However there are moments where the tail bell isn't there. It bothers me when they didn't draw it on there. Be consistent people!!!!

Thoughts on Lettuce's Character:
I really like Lettuce. She's a nice person and I like how she always tries her best. I feel like most people can relate to her in her situation. She discover that she has these strange powers and she has no idea how she got them. In reality this would probably scare people as well because their body change without their control. It's shame that Lettuce doesn't shy in the spot light as much. She suffers from being the green headed glasses wearing magical girl character. I know fans from Precure 5 say their version of this character, Mint suffers like Lettuce. How ironic about the names. XD


Thoughts on Masha's sensing:
He called Kish a chrima anima, but later in the episode he calls him an alien. Maybe Ryou did an upgrade? I just wish things were consistent though. -_-


Thoughts on Lettuce's Powers:

Okay so Lettuce was able to transform without Masha giving her pendant and she used her powers without being transformed. I really like this because it shows the animal DNA effecting their bodies. Perhaps Lettuce's frustration of not making friends awaken her powers. Also I wish they kept the idea of her controlling water! God that is so cool!!

Thoughts on KishxIchigo:

Okay I might as well get this over with. I am kishxIchigo. Kind of hard not to be surprise when I run a KishxIchigo blog and my avi and siggie are KishxIchigo.

So why do I like them? Their relationship is unhealthy! Kisshu is a abusive!

Yes I am aware of all of this. Like them since day 1 and I was blinded by these facts, but over the years my reason for liking them has changed.

I started out as the typical kishxIchigo fan. I hated Aoyama,ect,ect. But! Today I love Aoyama!! :) I even support his relationship with Ichigo, but I have a head canon that two lose their spark between each other, but remains fans. Then Ichigo and Kisshu together when they're older and their relationship works because they're mature and Kisshu has gotten his shit together.

This headcanon is the reason why I love this ship. I like the idea of a mature Ichigo and Kisshu. Ichigo is down to earth and Kisshu acts like mature man. It get me so many feels!

Overall thoughts:

A decent episode. It's a shame that Lettuce didn't get more screen time. I loved Minto in this episode. She is such a troll to Ichigo! There really isn't much to say about this episode.

Episode 4: A Tearful Date! The Secret I Can't Tell Aoyama!

Oh boy this episode is the start of Ichigo's over reactions to things.

Thoughts on Ichigo's reactions to Kisshu's kiss:

Honestly I think Ichigo is overeating to the whole thing. Yes I understand her first kiss is stolen. I would be upset to if my first kiss was from taken from a strange alien who jumped off a building. Anyone would be upset. But her thinking she can never see Aoyama again is stupid. She's not dating the guy yet! If they were a couple yes I can understand why she wouldn't want to face him. But since they are not dating Ichigo shouldn't feel that way. Aoyama will never know because if you told him he would think you're crazy. Also most of the time guys don't ask about first kisses. So Ichigo you dont have to worry about him finding out! Oh, well Im glad she got over it when Masha took her to park. I guess she realize she shouldnt let that kiss ruin the things that make her happy.

Overall Thoughts:
I dont have many thoughts about this episode so it's rather a short review. I think this a pretty good episode. It's the start of developmental episodes unlike in the manga we were introduce Pudding right away. We get to see Ichigo, Minto, and Lettuce work as a trio. I like it when magical girl shows take the time to find the next member of the team. It makes it more realistic seeing how Tokyo is a big city.

The episode is filled with good moments for both IchigoxKish shippers and IchigoxAoyama shippers. There's a little bit IchigoxRyou moments, but we'll get more of it in episode six. :3

Things that made this episode awesome:
Kisshu's eyes can glow.
Aoyama saw Masha, but didn't question Ichigo about the little robot. How awesome is that?
