| For me the answer is sub.
When I was in middle school I used to watch the dub of the series. Aside from the painfully cheesy OP it was actually pretty decent. And despite the dub's intent was I was more focused on Sakura than Syaoran. She was adorbs.
Then, over a decade later I had the enormous joy of watching the original subbed version. It was just so fluffy and cute I adored it so. Watching a single episode made me want to get up and hug everything in my room.
Dub Sakura was made to seem more like a tomboy, which is cute, but doesn't quite compare to the preciousness of the original.
Either way it was a nice experience watching one decades after the other. It was like a massive director's cut. |

| Sub hands down. As an anime fan I enjoy both subs and dubs, but with CCS it's a different story.
As a kid I loved Cardcaptors to death! Miakemi (an admin on here who is my best friend in irl.) and I watched the series together and roleplay it. She even got the clow book! Then she bought the DVDs of the Japanese subs and everything was different. We couldnt believe how much the dub left out. We watched the whole series together.
Today CCS is one of my favorite magical girl series. It makes me mad that the dub tried to make a girl show into a boy show. Well I wouldnt say mad, but the idea of doing that is stupid. CCS teaches kids about the love and both girls and boys should learned that. |

| I only watched the dub years ago so it's little more than a faint memory to me and I always liked the opening. I tend to steer towards dubs in general when I'm feeling lazy or multitasking. |

| I tend to go toward dubs as well so I can look away from the screen not have to pause it. I usually give dubs a leeway because it's an adaption. It's like comparing movies based off books. However I feel like of all the dubs I have watched, Cardcaptors is a bad adaption of the original. The opening does rock though. |

| Subs. I thought about rewatching the dub recently for fun, but I can't do it.
I enjoy watching dubs. I feel like I can take in more of the art and actions of the characters, but I can't watch a dub that completely butchers the intent of the series. |

| I remember watching the first episode of the Nelvana dub on Veoh once. I found it hilarious in that Sakura sounded EXACTLY like my older sister. But after seeing the Animax dub, despite its questionable quality, I prefer the Animax version over Nelvana's dub. But I do love the sub nonetheless. |

| I love the Original Japanese/Sub version of Cardcaptor Sakura because it's very beautiful and the story makes more sense too. I also like the Animax English Dub too since it is the Uncut English Dub of Cardcaptor Sakura, plus the voice acting is good as well. As for the Cardcaptor Sakura/Cardcaptors Nelvana English Dub, it's not bad and the only thing that bad about the Nelvana dub is the censorship. |
