Let's talk about the Force Awakens here! WARNING THIS THREAD WILL HAVE SPOILERS SO GET OUT NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!

Overall I felt the movie did a good job bringing the audience back into the Star Wars universe. I enjoy the new characters. I love both Rey and Finn. In fact Finn is my favorite character in this movie. I love his reactions especially when the other characters wanted go back to Jakku. XD BB-8 was cute and I'm glad he didn't over stay his welcome. Love the tumbs up scene with Finn.

As for the story. It's basically episode IV. A droid containing something important and needing to take it to important people. Then needing to blow up another Death Star (they even made a comment about that too XD). While it bother some people, I understand why they did it. The last Star Wars movie from the oringal trilogy came out in 1983. There are groups of people who have never seen any of the movies. I'm not counting the prequels because you need to see the oringal trilogy first (in my opinion). A big chuck people who have never seen the movies are kids. Disney wanted the general audience to be able go ino this movie without the knowledge of the other movies. And guess what? You can. I feel like any newcomer could jump into this movie without being completely lost. The movie does a good job with making references to the past movies. Despite the similarities there are some differences. Our heroes in Episode IV never truely face Darth Vader while Rey and Finn faced Ren. I can't think of more, but I'm sure there are!

I just hope episodes VIII and IX don't rerash episodes V and VI. I have a feeling they won't. These two movies will surely expand the universe. I really hope episode VIII will focus heavily on training in the force.We'll get see the Dark Side take since Ren needs to finish his training! 

By the way there's a pink R2-D2 when the rebels return to the base at the end of movie. :3

I LOVED the movie. I cried! I think Abrams did a great job. I agree I hope he isn't rehashing the old movies like he did in Star Trek. It did feel a like a changing of the guards from the old cast to the new. I want a BB-8. I can't wait to see how Rey's story develops. Especially her back story!

I cried i spent the last 20-30 minuets from when Han died just bawling like damn baby. it was awesome dont get me wrong. still not Han.. 

Also loved Luke's line at the end. best line in the movie.

It did suck that Han died and what sucked even more that you knew it was going to happen. 

Catwalks with no rails + Star Wars = Death

This is a good look on the movie and on the series in general! I really never thought about it, but yeah Star Wars movies are all the same.
