Have you ever seen videos, pics or gifs of something and noticed a particular character? "Hey, that character is pretty cute. I want to know more about them."

This happens to me very often.

Most notably is Shinobu Oshino of the Monogatari series.
The Monogatari series is one that clashes with me on virtually every level. Pretty much the only thing I can name about that show that I like is this sassy little doughnut loving vampire. Seriously, just look at this thing.




Shiori Asagiri of Tamako Market.



It helps that she greatly resembles one of my own OCs. I don't usually find characters done in KyoAni's animation style cute, but I make an exception for this one. The glasses, the scarf, the pocky in her hair. All adorable.

A character type that I've always adored is the dark skinned wild child types. Bonus points if they hail from a location like a tropical island. Characters like this that I'm fond of are...

Choi Mochimazzi of Tamako Market.



Definitely not interested in watching another KyoAni slice of life moeblob show, and from what I hear this girl's personality is a direct ripoff of Azusa from K-On. I guess that means she'd be one of the few likable things about this show.

Kaolla Su of Love Hina



I'm not fond of harem shows, especially ones with this show's level of "comedic violence" but Kaolla makes me want to consider watching it.

Sekiutsu Maria Taro of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei



Another character from a quirky Studio Shaft anime. No thanks. From what I've seen this girl reeks of precious innocence in-universe, to the point that characters are compelled to protect her... and are oblivious to her mischievous side.

Amalia Sharan Sharm of Wakfu



This last one is especially difficult since I know next to nothing about her personality and I have no idea how to even begin watching the show she's from, but she is super cute.

Oh yes Yuma. I don't really like that franchise or any of its characters, but Yuma really impressed me in the latter portion of Oriko Magica.

Basically every RPG character that I see on a box art. Some of them have neat designs, but sadly I'm not a huge RPG fan. I have tried playing RPG games in the past and I usually stop because they get boring to me pretty quickly. Especially ones that have turn base fights which is odd because I enjoy Paper Mario and Pokemon.

I like Sango, Kirara, and Miroku from Inuyasha.  Inuyasha was one of the my earlier anime series.  I watched it up until about episode 100 or so and tried rewatching recently only to get a similar result.  I really like Sango as a kid because she was a strong fighter.  Plus, I had a thing for characters with tragic back stories.  Still kind of do.  The only thing I can really say about Kirara is demon cats are awesome.  End of story.  As for Miroku, I have no idea.  Now I just enjoy the idea of SangoxMiroku fluff.

I loved Kurogane and Fai in Tsubasa, but I just couldn't continue reading after the story resorted to using clones and vampires.  It would have been nicer if they kept it a nice, lighthearted collecting quest.

Also, I started watching Sword Art Online because of Recon and the art from the second arc, but I absolutely hated the second arc.  

On another not, I have Wakfu subbed if you wanted to try it, Link.

Any Magical Girl from a hentai or eroge.
I really like some of the magical girl designs in those, but that fact that the show itself doesn't really care and just wants the viewer to be pleasured is disheartening. Don't even get me started on "Mahou no Rouge Lipstick"

Rena from Higurashi
I think Higurashi's interesting but it's not really a favorite to watch (I don't sit well with horror or explicitly violent things). But Rena really left an impression on me when I started to watch it. In fact she was the reason i continued watching until I realized what was going on (I think I made it to like...episode 13?). 

If it counts. These characters are featured in a song from some Korean rhythm game (DJMAX?) I have no interest in this game. But dang these characters are so cute, I was sad to learn it wasn't a real show.

If InuYasha could just be about Sango and Miroku I would watch it hands down. Also throw in Sesshmarou and Rin. Forget the rest XD.

Say what you will about her role in Rebellion Story, but even I have to admit Nagisa is a cuddly little thing. So much that it irks me that she would be put into such a grimdark series. The fact that she's voiced by the same person as Yuno from Hidamari Sketch (another precious little innocent thing from a show I don't really like) makes it all the worse.



Now, Fairy Tail is not an anime I have any interest in watching. One of those long running shounen things where there's rarely a female character whose breasts are smaller than her head. Not my kind of thing. But I saw this character who goes by the name of Coco and I immediately gushed. Just look at that nose!

From what I've looked up about her, she's a messenger from a parallel world, who has among the most ridiculous running animations I have ever seen. 



Eventually her counterpart in the show's normal world appears, and she's not only more developed, but also less child-like in personality, and a capable fighter, rather than her trademark skill being running around like a loon.

So in the last month or so I had the pleasure of witnessing what is probably the most detestable anime I have ever seen. An anime about women who are born without magic being treated as second class citizens with no rights, and are sent to a remote island where they're forced into a military that wears thongs and battles dragons using giant robots.

Oh this anime has it all, the main character being violated more than once, incesty vibes, gruesome, graphically depicted deaths, tasteless fanservice, a demented psycho lesbian character, face-palm worthy accidental pervert humor... and one adorable character by the name of Vivian.



Why must I have a soft spot for spunky redheads with cute little fangs? 

Fans and dissenters of this show seem to agree she's the best girl. She's pretty much the only (still alive) character who is likable and friendly from the start. And she's voiced by the same person as Cure Sunshine. That lollipop in her mouth? It seems to be there 24/7, even during the obligatory bath scenes. Even though I absolutely refuse to watch this show any further, I'm gonna be super mad if she dies.

I gave up on the Pokemon anime a long time ago and I don't have any regrets about that. It lost its appeal and I can appreciate it if new kids and fans of old still enjoy it.

But if there's one thing that makes me want to watch the show again, it's this nauseating creature.



And I don't mean Flabebe.

One of the biggest complaints about the Advance Generation series was Max. People felt he was put there just to be a kid character for younger audiences. That's fine and all but he was kind of a snot. Bonnie on the other hand is not only precious as a box of puppies, but also actually IN the games.

And for the Precure fans out there, she is voiced by Mariya Ise, who voices Urara, Cure Lemonade from Yes Precure 5/GoGo. Although Ms. Ise is currently on maternity leave and thus Bonnie is being voiced by Mika Kanai, who voices another of my most adored anime characters, Satoko from the Higurashi series. She's also the voice of Chikorita in most Pokemon media.

Bonnie takes over the ending theme for the newly aired XY&Z season, and it is just as sugary adorable as expected.

I don't think it's any secret that I don't like Mermaid Melody and it's main cast.
But for some reason, I can't bring myself to dislike little Seira (the orange one)

She's just really cute looking.

Some of the minor mermaids (Coco and Noel mostly) I have nothing against either.

I am not a Steven Universe fan at all, and I have absolutely no interest in getting into the show. However, I do, for some reason, like Garnet. I'm not sure why, but I've liked her since before the show even started, when concept art of her was floating around Tumblr. She just has a really awesome design.

I always had a thing for Nozomi, I guess her design is adorable and those twintails cute, but I hear people have mixed opinions on her...
