I recently I have been flipping through my mangas and I noticed a lot of errors in the Tokyopop translation.



In the red circle Lettuce thanks Ichigo and Masaya. What's wrong with that? Well Lettuce doesn't know Masaya and he's not even there. She should be thanking Minto.

Feel free to post anymore errors to this topic. When I reread the manga I'll be on the looked out for them as well.

Tokyo pop isn't the best editor I agree but if it wasn't for them we wouldn't have all these great series.

Oh I know! I just thought it would be fun to point out these silly mistakes.

Since I've had to read the Tokyopop version recently for my comparison reviews, I've spotted quite a few mistakes they did.

For actual translations errors, as I've mentioned in the first 2 reviews, Mew Mint's animal is mistranslated as Ultramarine Lorikeet (it's Blue Lorikeet). There's also all of the weapon names that they couldn't decide on.

As for printing errors, in the character bios of volume 3, they mixed up Purin and Zakuro. In volume 7, they messed up Aoyama's bio. So it accidentally says "Ichigo's a cute and super nice boyfriend." XD

And, while it wasn't in my volume since I have the first edition printing, in the 2nd printings of volume 6, a lot of copies have a few pages from a different manga.

I never noticed that. When I'm home next time I will look that up in volume 7 just for lolz.

I don't have the Tokyopop versions, only the newer kodansha ones. The fact that they've decided to spell Zakuro 'Zacro' is annoying me more than it should.

As I've mentioned, there was a reason for the spelling change for Zakuro/Zacro.
There is also another fact that I didn't mention in my review:
I've been to a bunch of Japanese websites about pomegranates and pomegranate-flavored/scented items. The Japanese spell them as both Zakuro and Zacro. So I think however it's spelled depends on the translator's preference. Neither are wrong.
