Happy Precure day everyone!

Today mark's the 10th anniversary for the original "Futari wa Pretty Cure" series from February 1, 2004. 

Precure remains the longest running Magical Girl franchise with 486 episodes and 14 movies total and still growing!

Also to mark the occasion, the new season "Happiness Charge Precure" starts today (Technically it'll be February 2nd in Japan when it airs but whatever)! make sure to check online for any livestreams for it.


Who knew these dorks would inspire all this, amirite?

Amazing isn't it? Precure will never go away.

I remember reading a thing on tumblr saying that this season would have a series of animated shorts starring every Cure from past seasons, one for each Cure. From what I recall it wouldn't be anything like an episode, just a little episode-preview-length thing at the end of each episode.

I kinda wish that instead of the all-stars movies, they would make new movies based on past seasons.

I would totally behind the movie thing. Like have it be about one team or have two teams be in it. Having a movie with all the cures is maddening. ^^*

I like the idea of the shorts... and as for the movies, my favorite is DX3, maybe they could do something like that?

Not madding, mostly disappointing. I could appreciate the first New Stage and its story, but the second was meh. And so many Cures went without any lines. The entire Yes Precure 5 crew for instance for example had no lines.

I meant movies based entirely around the respective seasons.

A new Futari wa Movie, a new Heartcatch movie, with none of the oddities that come from combining all of the Cures into one universe.

Yeah like I said Im behind past seasons getting new movies. But I meant it would be fun to have a movie with two past teams fighting together. Like Max Heart and Splash.

And these 10th Year Anniversary shorts turned out to be little more than five seconds of a character popping up and saying "Thanks for sticking with us!" Not exactly worth the hype, but it's nice to see Cure Moonlight appear on-screen and actually have a voice.

They seem to be going on random order. First Black, then Dream, Then Passion, Now Moonlight.

At first I thought they were doing leaders than after that random cures.

They're having all of the character designers do one from their first series, and then they'll go in random order. 

We'll get someone from Suite Precure next week.

I'll bet Cure Moonlight was kinda easy to do. what with Umakoshi being in down the hall working on Saint Seiya Omega and Aya Hisakawa down the other hall working on sailor moon (assuming she's doing Sailor Mercury again anyway)
