| I've read the manga and loved it but I've been a little hesitant with continuing with the anime
I've seen about...6? episodes of the anime, and everything that's new for the anime seemed to revolve around the shugo chara (like there was just this filler episode of the shugo charas messing around in a basement mixed in with some plot related dialogue so you still had to watch it)
i know it spans 3 seasons, so is....is the filler primarily the shugo charas going on adventures? I mean, they're cute and all, but to be brutally honest, i just don't care? |

| No the filler is not like that all. ^^*
The main filler of the show is in Shugo Chara Doki! It features an anime character only and her chara. Lulu and Nana. They work for the baddies. :3 |

| So after much inner debate, I decided to just go ahead I start watching the whole anime. I started over and now I'm on episode 10. I'm having a pretty good time with it! I hope I can keep up this momentum with it
I'm actually looking forward to the filler characters. Lulu and Rikka look really cute in particular |

| I really love the anime. While I do love the manga more the anime has its awesome moments. I love Lulu. My advice to you is don't watch the last season, Shugo Chara Party!
It's part live action and the actual anime episode is reduce to like 15 minutes. It's dumb and Rikka annoyed the crap out of me. I tried my best to watch it, but the live action kills it for me. I wished the third season was Encore. ;-; |

| I've heard arguments for and against SC Party. So I'll see when I get there
I mean, I could always skip the live-action segments too if it gets that bad is what I figure. |

| Thats what I ended up doing. Just skipping to the anime part. I skipped the Chara segments as well. As much as I love the little guys I wanted to watch Amu and her friends. XD I never heard of people liking Party then again I never gotten involved in the fandom that much. |

| I'VE OFFICIALLY GOTTEN TO THE HALFWAY POINT (..of the 1st season) sorry for the all caps, but this doesn't happen too often in two weeks time for me in a 50+ episode series but yeah, I really like it. Maybe its all the precure I usually try and watch, but its just the right amount of refreshing changes to the typical magical formula that it's nice to watch. - MewAmi wrote:

same, the positive things I've read are from a girl I follow on tumblr, and a Rikka fan in the Shugo Chara tag. Speaking of the fandom, I remember SG being everywhere on anime-fan social media. The constant Ikuto fangirls I'd run into just sortof turned me off from watching the series tbh. I'm sure they still exist, but the SG fandom seems alot quieter than I remember. Whenever I look for images or information I run into gaia avatars and 'blingee'. It's kindof a weird internet relic at this point I think. It's kind of interesting looking back now (oh 2007...). |

| Oh, I remember the wars in the Shugo Chara fandom. XD
I've always ship AmuxIkuto. You really need to read Encore to see how things end up for them. The anime will never answer that question.
I can't believe someone likes Rikka. She was such annoying girl. To each their own I guess. |

| I own the manga (its in volume 12 I believe?) but I just haven't read it in forever, and I haven't seen the anime version till now.
yeah, Ikuto is the obvious better choice for Amu (but Tadase is still best guy to me) I just think shipping wars are silly.

| Been trying to finish the 1st season this afternoon. I got to the arc where they beat Utau, it was so beautiful I choked up a few places ;.;
keeping the momentum going to see how they end it out since they just had THE big climax, but it looks like a whole bunch of filler episodes? Seems like the better idea would be to switch them? but whatever. Still bunches of fun |

| I actually own the entire manga, but I haven't read it yet. I only bought it recently because I found most of it at a used book store and had to buy the rest on Amazon. I really want to read it, but it's currently not in my possession. I'm going to be moving soon, and all of my stuff is at the new house... As soon as I'm there, though, I'm going to binge read it! I can't wait! |

| Oh, god the manga is so good! It's better than the anime. I love the anime, but I wish it stick to the manga a little bit. As in give us the true ending. NOT STUPID SHUGO CHARA PARTY BS *coughs* so yeah! I hope you like it! Today I was in the bookstore and they had a good chuck of the series. I should buy it because I read scanlations back in high school. That's when the series was being written. I didn't want to wait. XD I think I own vol 1? or vol 2? Not sure. Anyway while I was looking, a girl was looking at manga with her parents. She looked about 10. The dad was all about the ratings. Like we need to look into these series online to make sure they're safe. I really wanted to suggest Shugo Chara to the girl, but it's rated 13. There's really nothing bad in the series. Although some things may freak out the parents: - Spoiler:
Utna being in love with her brother, the age difference between Amu and Ikuto, and the whole Nadshiko thing. Oh the bathroom scene between Amu and Ikuto. hahaha
Honestly these things wouldn't bother me. There's a lot worse the kid could read. I should have suggested Sailor Moon, but there are some creepy moments in the manga. I don't think her dad would be okay with people get their faces melted off. XD |

| So I've made it through most of the Doki season (still have about 16 episodes left) so far I really like Lulu, she's a bit stubborn and I wish she'd be a little more accepting about her Mom's new-found happiness, but I think she's nice little addition. I especially like Nana and that she looks like this little elegant doll but when she speaks it's all "howdy ya'll!"
I also really like how fun the music in this show is. I had "Omakase Guardian" stuck in my head last night, its such an earworm XD |

| So I finally finished the SC Doki! now on to Party!
It was pretty much how I remembered the manga ending, although I feel like Hikaru and his grandpa got off kinda easy millions spent, lives and dreams ruined, children abused, Ikuto's entire family is in shambles (like I know the manga answers it - but in the anime so far. their poor mom is still stuck in a loveless marriage), the whole town teetering on the brink of destruction, and why?
a spoiled little boy was lonely cuz he had a crappy grandpa. yeah ok
ah well. atleast its a happy ending for everyone. i'll probably start Party tomorrow |
