| I'm done! SCParty wasn't that bad - I'll admit Rikka's hyper go-lucky personality kinda bugged me (and that voice ^^;) , but her positive outlook on life and her never giving up on people won me over. I also like her and Hikaru's interactions, it was kindof good seeing how he grew as a character over time too.
I understand why people are upset at it (most of the comments below either complained of a lack of Ikuto or complained about live-action bits being too cutesy/kiddy) but I think it all boils down to why you're watching SC? I just wanted a fun kids show with good life lessons about sticking to your dreams - in which case SCP delivered so I didn't have many things against it
but yes! I'm done now! |

| I love Shugo Chara because of the characters and the good messages. The anime is a ton of fun, but I thought the live action in Party was pointless. It just seem out of place. The whole anime was never like that, but yet for the final season they went with it? I mean the Chara shorts are cute, but I wanted the anime itself. It was like reduce down to about 11 minutes. I will admit some of the episodes I did watch had some great moments. But I just felt like a lot of it pointless especially since they didn't animate Shugo Chara Encore.
Also another reason is I just don't really like live action Japanese stuff. The only live action I have ever enjoyed was PGSM and that can be just as cheesy as Party. |

| I finally got around to reading the manga! It took me a while to get the motivation to do it, but I did. It was really good, and I liked it a lot! It's definitely one of the more unique MG series I've read -- such an interesting concept! The only thing I didn't like was... - Spoiler:
...The final battle with the boss of Easter. I know what they were going for; they were going for one of those twists where it's like "You were expecting something really epic, but it was actually super mundane!" but I just felt like the whole thing was resolved way too easily. I dunno. It just felt anticlimactic to me.
Also, the entirety of volume 11 was a little strange to me -- a recap arc? Really? I felt like I was watching a clip show episode, haha. But I guess it makes sense when you consider that manga are typically first published chapter by chapter in a magazine -- it would make sense that some of the readers may have picked up the series in the middle.
I watched a little bit of the anime, but I'm not really interested enough to continue. In my opinion, the anime kind of took a really unique concept and shoehorned it into the typical victim-of-the-week formula that can be found in pretty much any MG anime. So I'll just stick with the manga. |

| I watched some of the episodes of Shugo Chara and thought that it's a very good series, but since life likes to keep me busy I didn't get the chance to see all of the episodes. Hopefully I'll be able to watch it again when I have the time because I really like this series and it's very interesting too. |
