It's official the new Nintendo system will be coming out in March 2017 Globally. Zelda U will be released as well on the Wii U and the NX.

I found about this news, when I got to work today and I thought about it all day. My initial reaction was shocked because I didn't think Nintendo would launch the NX in the Spring. I was thinking late 2017. More I thought about the more it made sense. The Wii U was a flop. It struggled since day one while I love my Wii U dearly it could have been so much more. I think Nintendo just wants to move on and grow again. They bank on the Wii's success for the Wii U and it back fired on them. I don't think the name had anything to do with it because they did named their second console SNES/Super Famicom after all. The difference they marketed it way better than the Wii U. At least I think. I was around for the SNES, but I don't remember any advertising. 

I'm having a positive out look on this and excited for whatever the NX is. Likely a console seeing it will have a port of Zelda U. I'm hyped!

As for Zelda U. Didn't surprise me seeing how it kept getting delayed so much. I can't blame Nintendo's decision for porting it to the NX. I think they did this because they want an exciting launch for the NX and let people who can't afford the NX be able to still play it on the Wii U.It's a smart move really.

Now for the fans. My god the subreddits for Nintendo are so salty. People feeling betrayed and screaming doom for Nintendo. Get over it! First of all it's stupid to buy a gaming system for one game. Some one posted that they bought the Wii U for Zelda and Smash and haven't turned on their Wii U for two years! Well it's your fault for wasting your money not Nintendo's. Yes Nintendo generally has a big Zelda title for every generation, but guess what? The Wii U was a flop! If the Wii U was doing better I bet we wouldn't have the NX coming out and Zelda would have stayed an exclusive. Nintendo fans can be such babies.

I will admit I buy their handhelds for Pokemon, but I do know I will buy other games and play it on a regular basis. I have a pretty decent 3DS library. 

God I really hope the NX can turn everything around. I am so tried of the negativity.

Well jeez. I'm actually a little surprised that it's coming out so soon. The Wii came out what... 2006? And the Wii U came out late 2012, not too long ago. 

If the NX is backwards compatible with the Wii U's games, then I might as well not even get the latter. Or maybe I should get the Wii U instead, once the price goes down.

Same with the Pokemon system buying. I got my 2DS the day it and Pokemon X came out, specifically for that game. Although I already had Ocarina of Time 3D in mind, but if I could only get one game, it definitely wouldn't have been a remake.

Yeah I didn't get OOT 3D because I can play it on my Gamecube. I own both the Master Quest and and the Zelda Collection. I only got MM 3D because on the Zelda Collection there's a risk of it freezing and since MM has stupid saving system you can lose a lot of progress.

I hope the NX is backwards compatible because there are good games for the Wii U! I hope the Gamepad works for it as well! I liked that the Wii remotes carried over to the Wii U because it gave me two extra controllers. I had my Wii U for two years and I only had to buy one extra controller.
