Okay so hate may be a strong word, but I have this weird feeling toward the Precure series. So anywho I like this series and yet I dont? I guess what's great about the series you can find one season out of all them that you like.

For instance out of all the series I have watched Fresh by far is my favorite. The story seems mature (despite fairy world's name XD), the mascots arent annoying, and the characters are interesting. I really love the bad guys in this and Peach's and Passion's relationship is awesome! Sadly I have yet to finish it because when I got to a certain point in the series then there wasnt anymore subs uploaded on anime streaming websites. I need to go back and see if the series has been fully uploaded. 

Some I semi like: Suite and Doki. At first I hated Suite, but as the story progress I enjoyed it a bit more and the characters were interesting. Sadly I didnt finish it because last few episodes seem to rush so I lost interest. Personally I just wish it was a 3 cure team instead of 4. Muse kind of ruin everything because she joined the team so late. As for Doki I really liked it and felt like the story was better written than Suite and Smile. Sadly I got behind and havent made the effort to get caught up. 

Series that I didnt like: Smile, Heartcatch, furtri wa (sorry for the spelling, the first season), and Precure 5. 

Smile: meh, the characters were too bland and thought the theme was wasted. 

Heartcatch, Furtri wa and Precure 5: These series fall together because they have the annoying mascots. I cannot stand their high pitch voices and the fact they have a little catchphrase that they must say at the end of every sentence (Hummy is exception because that is the voice of Usagi and her being a cat is too cute! Plus Hummy is just plain cute anyway!). It seems stupid that this a reason I have gave up with these seasons. But it's true. Plus their stories werent interesting to me anyway.

Splash Star: So what about this series? I have only seen 3 episodes and for some reason it seems more inserting and the mascots voices dont bother me.  I need to watch more to give a full opinion.

Well at least having a love/hate relationship isn't as bad as outright HATE.

I can kind of understand finding the mascots annoying. That was one thing I really liked about Fresh too. Tarte doesn't end every sentence with an overdone verbal tic, and his voice is pretty enjoyable to listen to.

Hummy was... kind of an idiot, but too lovable to really dislike.

Candy... was a child. One could say her being annoying is exactly what was intended, but that's just it. She's an annoying child.

I've seen Fresh, Heatcatch, Suite, Smile and Doki, and the only two I dislike at all are the latter two.

If I had known Smile was going to have so little in the way of plot, I might have appreciated it more, but I kept expecting something to actually happen. The fight scenes were also pretty weak compared to Heartcatch. Smile was my second season after Heartcatch, so I had a lot of expectations.

Since Doki Doki is airing and I've seen people say they hadn't caught up yet, I'll keep this spoilered, as it goes onto up to episode 33.

Sometimes when I watch a new series I can fall behind if I miss one episode. That happened to me a lot during the summer this year because I was busy with looking for a job. I need to catch up so badly! I got to when Cure Ace appeared.

Smile had a great theme, Fairy Tales! Who doesnt love fairy tails? They wasted such a great theme. *sighs* I didnt even get to episode 20 with the series....

I noticed Precure has big problems when it comes to character development with the girls. Toei tends to focus on two of the girls than the rest of team are just there. I have no idea why? They generally have 40-50 episodes per season. They have loads of chances to balance everyone out.

In that case I can't recommend Otogi-Jushi Akazukin any harder. The whole show is basically a giant soup mix of fairy tales both familiar to most people and really obscure.

Okay so I just thought about another reason I lose interest with some the seasons. Precure filler can be pretty bad. >.< Heartcatch's fillers just killed me. They were trying to be all Shugo Chara liked and failed.

Heartcatch's filler was the worst. It wouldn't have been so bad if it was centered around Tsubomi and Erika, but no. On a bad episode those two only appear for the opening scene and the obligatory fight. The rest of the episode centers around some person who would eventually becoming the predictable victim of the week.

The most fun I had in a Heartcatch filler episode was trying to identify the victim ahead of time.

Ojamajo Doremi did a much better job developing the characters around the main cast, while still keeping the focus on the Ojamajos.

Yes Ojamajo did an awesome job! I actually care about their classmates and families. Oh how that one OVA episode that makes me cry. >.<

Even if I watched two seasons, I can really understand. However, I can't be related because I never seen the rest, nor spending a whole marathon watching them. I have other hobbies too, so yea.

It's true that the "fairy tale" theme in Smile is wasted, having 1-2 episodes directly reference to those (Cinderella and the fashion show). But I treat it as a slice of life MLP season since it involves the themes of "friendship is magic"... Plus shockingly this season is the most fan-favoried populated? Cure Peace got her own S.H. Figarts first?! I think it's up to persoanl preferences.

HOWEVER, I am not a huge fan of DDPC (hence why I sold my loot to my friend who wanted merchandise) much compare to the last.. Maybe because I miss the pony goodness. However, I don't outrageous "hate" it too. I will watch it to the end no matter what as a new tradition in on-aired shows... Plus I don't watch to many (usually range around 3-4 anime on my currently-watched list) so I'm fine. (With the huge sacrifice on missing out on the "trend" anime like Attack on Titan (was not interested).) 

My special exception is when I RP as Mana at a FB fan-page, but less obnoxious and "pushes your way with helpfulnes"... But I gave her a secret AU idea that I don't' think anyone will like either, so I will not mention it anymore.

I pretty much dropped Doki. XD

I would agree, but I would also feel bad for dropping it, so yea. Plus my RL friend will continue to nag at how "shocking" DDPC is.. LOL. (He has a child's heart, while I have a mix of both.)

So let's say I'll give a middle grade once it's done and say "I don't suggest this unless you want this and that..."

I can understand on the fillers/slice-of-life/monster of the day mess. Or more like I'm glad that I did not marathon another PreCure season, but yea... I do like Erika by the silly screenshots though. ;;

Yes, but screencaps. Erika annoyed me a lot though. HC does have great facial expressions.

I really liked fresh a lot, setsuna was a really cool character IMO too :3 And the doctor who referencing end was interesting to say the least....xD haha

I am happy no one puts down pretty cure for being a generally 'girly' anime in this thread. But, being as this is A MAGICAL GIRL forum, i don't see why anyone here would.....(it would make me question a bit why they even would join this forum to begin with? nuff said)

that said, too many people talked about hating girly things in general around me.....it REALLY got on my nerves U_U;;; even if i am a little tomboyish myself i fail to see how people who have issues with girlyness are like overall good people o.o; in fact, a lot of them seem really mean......telling me I'D be a bully just cuz I happen to really like girly stuff. People are awful
