How did you get into TMM?

I already stated it in my introduction, but I will do it again.

One day as a young teenager I went into a library and saw the first volume of the manga. I was curious to why the girl on the front cover had cat years. I read it and loved it! But what made me really hook was the end of the volume:

Hmm... A certain admin got me into it on the car ride to... was it Nashville... after she had told me about how good it was. XD I read the entire series, and it was great. Later, I downloaded the subbed anime online so we could enjoy that too.

Sadly I saw 4kids version first before you were able to find the sub.

XD, well, my introduction was through the 4Kids dub. While it isn't near as good as the sub, it does have some merits. One of which being the very fact that I remembered it years later and looked for the original version. I've also read the manga, but I actually thing the subbed anime was better. The other Mew Mews felt like background characters in the manga.

(And while I do multi-ship, or remain on the slightly indifferent side/experiment [depending], one of my few OTPs is Kisshu-Ichigo, XD. The other is ZeLink. ^_^")

Yeah I prefer the anime over the manga. Like you I think the other major characters felt like background characters. Ichigo and Aoyama took the spotlight in the manga.

Zelink? As in ZakuroxLink(from Zelda)? Shock

I like the anime better too, but I will use the manga for quick reference if I need to. The end of the manga was more satisfying to me.

Yeah I like the manga ending better than the anime's ending. The anime ending had that stupid cliffhanger. >.<

wow I thought you were mentioning two OTPs from TMM. People just have too many OTP despite the fact that OTP stands for one true pairing.

Haha, no, I don't abuse the abbreviation. I only use it for two, maybe three, fandoms. And none of the OTPs intersect fandoms.

I was an odd cookie about it.
I saw a video of the transformations on youtube when I was 12 or 13 and then randomly watched 3 episodes right out of the middle... without even reading the subs. Then I decided I now was a fan of the show...
So I went to buy the manga... fell in love with Kisshu... and here I am.

I was a weird kid back then xD

Hehe, it looks like we all had kiddie crushes on Kisshu when we were younger. Now that I've come back to the series, though, my now psychological-analyzing mind is putting everything in a darker - and admittedly, more interesting - light.

Between now and then, how have your own views changed on the series?
