Rank them and say something about them, if you haven't watched/listened/read some of them that is fine just talk about the rest

As for me let me tell you that I love of all them so my ranking is not that wide, they are all very close together.

1. Manga

I adore Naoko's art and the way she tells a story

2. tie between both Anime versions
contrary to popular views I do love both anime versions for different reasons (I'm one of those very few people who love crystal)

3. SeraMyu
for starters, I'm a sucker for musical stages, secondly Seramyu has a certain epicness that you can not found in any other version, I love both the old and the new ones

4. PGSM live action series

the live action is so well done, and if one can get over the power rangers feeling early on, then it is quite epic.
it would rank along with the Seramyu if it had all season's covered

5. CD dramas

These are just so freaking epic, all the Voice actors, gathered doing a side original plot story which is so random and funny one can not really stop laughing listening to them LOL
example: in the S version Usagi walked in on HaruMichi kissing and told them to cut it off, and Ami hypnotized Mamochan to look into his dreams. The epicness of Mamochan's dream is the best thing ever, in short: He is the boss of a company, Ami is his wife, Rei is his affair, Makoto his big sis, and Minako his young sis, Michiru is his secretary, and Haruka the one employee he loves to hate and send her all over to do the crappiest of tasks until Michiru talks to him. Usagi is...the cat.

this is one of the gems in that S cd Drama XDD

1. PGSM
Best characterization.

2. 90s anime
Second best characterization.

3. manga
It's okay. I hate the fast pace. The characters can be bland.

4. Crystal
Ugh I can go on about why I hate it.

As for the myus I can't really rate them. I haven't seen enough of them. Plus they're all so different from each other.

dat Rei-Minako ship in PGSM was my favourite
Keikochan was the perfect Rei and my favourite moment is her transformation after Minako is gone where she screams her make up
I get chills every time <3

Also Beryl was epic, and I adorned dark mercury! best plot twist

The generals are the best in PGSM. They actually have character development.

1. manga

This one is to me, the best. It helped me through many emotional dark times( so i could be just slightly biased)

for starters, I'm a sucker for musical stuff( even though i have seen bits and pieces on the internet and heard of it from tumblr)  and as for PGSM i love it despit only having  seen bits and pieces on the internet and heard of it from tumblr. also, despite the power ranger- like feel( but then I also like power rangers, so that could be my biased side) and i loved princess sailor moon!( despite her personality being not so great)


 I have never heard of the CD dramas... but i wish I could have  heard  them or even own them.
 why tie: they are live.

The only ones I've experienced enough of to have an opinion on are the manga and Crystal, so the manga gets my vote.

The Manga is my favourite, followed by Crystal, then the 90's Anime. I haven't got around to the other, yet xx

For me, it's...

1. PGSM

I felt that this version had the most interesting interpretation of the Dark Kingdom arc. It also had great character development.

2. 90's anime

This is the version that got me into Sailor Moon, so of course I love it! Admittedly, I've only ever completed the first two seasons, but I love what I've seen so far.

3. Manga

While I do prefer the anime, there are some aspects of the manga I like better. I especially love the side stories and Codename: Sailor V!

4. Crystal

I don't really like Crystal that much. I think that following the manga so precisely was a mistake in this format -- the manga moves much too quickly for an anime. I also disliked the ways they deviated from the manga. And not to mention, the "quality" animation...

5. Sera Myu

I'm just not a fan of musicals in general -- even songs in Disney movies tend to piss me off. Plus, so many of the old ones are filled with references to other musicals, I often feel lost when I watch them.

6. Drama CDs

I tried watching the drama CDs on YouTube, but I just couldn't do it. It's not that they're bad -- it's just, drama CDs are really meant for people who speak Japanese. You're supposed to picture the actions in your mind, and I found it difficult to do that while reading subtitles.

I have to mostly agree with the rankings that @magical-pudding gave for the different versions of Sailor Moon.  Although I would have put the 90s anime at the top of my list; because its the version that got me into loving BSSM so much, and I've now pretty much watched all five seasons of it, and the 90s anime even showed me that anime series can be good, because it got me into exploring other similar anime titles (I remember finding out about the Magic Knight Rayearth manga and mostly liking it soon after noticing that the 90s anime version of BSSM was extremely good).  And I admit that I haven't watched enough of either PGSM or Crystal yet to fairly rank either of those versions.  But I would personally rank Crystal higher than the manga right now, because I never really liked the manga version of Sailor Moon and I thought that Crystal was an easy way to find out what happens in the manga version in an enjoyable manner.  Although I did like the fact that the manga version included the Sailor V story.

BTW, I didn't know that one could find a drama CD version of it on YouTube.  So would somebody please help me out and give me some specific addresses for getting into (and starting watching) the Drama CD versions of BSSM?  Thank you in advance to anybody that does this.

I don't think you tube has all the cd dramas
I had posted a link for a niconico tag that has some of them (if not all, I don't really remember) the only thing you need to watch them is a niconico free account (which is probably the fastest and easiest account creation ever)
there are no subtitles though so you will have to understand some japanese.
I don't think there is any available translation of them either, except few small clips(like the one I posted on the OP, that channel has the rest they have translated)

My favorite Sailor Moon Media are:


1. 90's Anime

I list the 90s Anime as number 1 because I grew up watching it and I love the development of the characters too. 



2. Crystal

I list Crystal as number 2 because it is more faithful to the Manga and it has less episodes than the 90s Anime.



3. Manga

I list the Manga as number 3 because I discovered the Manga after I watched the 90s Anime and I love that the story in the Manga is different from the 90s Anime too.



4. Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon live action series (PGSM)

I list the live action series as number 4 because it has a very amazing storyline and it is a lot different from the manga, 90s anime, and Crystal. 



I haven't seen the musicals and/or hear the drama CDs. So I can't say anything about those.
