| Anyone remember This old thing?
A friend of mine had two of them yeeeeeeears ago, back in the heyday of the franchise, and I remember having a lot of fun with that. I ended up buying the second generation one, but the color got all screwed up after a while.
Now, years later I bought the first one on ebay and wow does that take me back.
Aside from that I've been revisiting Pokemon Pinball. Fun times, and that's coming from someone who doesn't really care for pinball games. I guess you can make anything fun if you slap Pokemon on it. More than I can say about Sonic Spinball. |

| I had Pokemon pinball. It was my first pokemon game. My dad got me that instead of Yellow because I just asked for the game with Pikachu on it. It is fun! You have a goal which is to catch them all. I believe you fight Mewtwo at the end. I didn't get very far into the game.
I don't remember Pocket Pikachu. |

| Pokemon Pinball was sort of before my time, since I started playing the games in Gen III, but I do remember playing Pokemon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire as a kid! I never owned it, but a friend from school let me borrow it sometimes. It was fun! I remember enjoying it.
Gosh, I just realized... I haven't played much of the spinoff games at all. I own Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, but it didn't capture my attention enough to really get into it. Maybe I just don't like dungeon crawlers? Considering my feelings on Moco Moco Friends... LOL.
By the way, what do you guys think of this whole Alola Form thing in the new games? I admit, when they were first introduced, my instant reaction was annoyance at how lazy GameFreak is being. I mean... Coming up with new types for old Pokemon is a great way to make new Pokemon without having to actually do much designing. It felt really cheap and lazy.
But then, after I got over that... I do like the concept of Pokemon adapting to different surroundings and developing differently! It's very realistic, since lots of species in real life adapt to their surroundings. So, yeah. There's that.
That, and I just really like Alola Raichu. The fact that it's chubby because it eats fluffy pancakes... Oh man, that is adorable. |

| I was in love with Alola forms from the beginning. Much better than mega forms. They make for sense! Seeing how Pokemon are based off of animals. In real life animals do adapt when their surroundings change.
Vulpix and Raichu are so cute!! I'm actually going to train a Pikachu now! |

| Yes! I love the Pikachu family anyway, and I often use Raichus on my team, but I am DEFINTELY thinking of using an Alola Raichu! Though... I'm kind of tempted to do a mono Fairy team... I really love Mimikkyu. Seriously, Mimikkyu is one of the cutest Pokemon ever, if only because of its backstory. It's so sweet, and it reminds me of another character who I seriously adore, so it just adds to how much I love it. |

| I want to do a fairy run as well! I'm really loving gen 7. I don't care what anyone says this is the true reboot. Pokemon are more creative, new forms that make sense, and a change to the gym the system.
I really love that they're using so much inspiration from Hawaii. I wish they used more inspiration from Pairs in gen 6. |

| I just hope sun and moon gives us more character customization options. I was so annoyed when I saw that the painter trainers have the exact skin and hair tone I wanted in order to replicate an OC of mine, but I couldn't customize my character that way.
In other Pokenews, I finally sent my copies of Gold and Yellow to an ebay dealer to replace the batteries. I know nothing of soldering tools and I wouldn't want to risk wrecking the cartridges to replace them. |

| Hey, if you don't mind me asking, what eBay dealer was that? My nephew is currently doing a rather intensive quest in Pokemon, and he needs a battery replacement. |

This is the one I sent my copies to. There's other ones, but they tend to run at $10 per game, so hopefully this'll go well. |

| Thank you so much!!! This boy... My nephew is on a quest to create a Pokemon with the most amount of ribbons he can possibly get on it. With no hacking. He's thinking of using a Gardevoir, evolved from a purified Shadow Ralts from XD. He needs to get lots of high quality berries so he can make the best PokeBlocks so he can win every category of contest... Though he plans on cloning the berries with the cloning glitch in Emerald, getting some of the berries are daily events. He also needs a lot of Battle Points so he can teach this Gardevoir Move Tutor moves to use in the contests and... Ugh, the Gen III Battle Frontier is STINGY with the BP. He's been trying to look for a way to possibly replace the battery but couldn't find any services... He's thinking of possibly learning to do it himself but. He's scared to. Haha. But anyway, yeah. Thanks! This might just come in handy. |

| Hey, it's fine!! I hope you're having fun with it! OMG, you guys. I just beat a Gen I game for the first time. I always thought that Gen I was super hard because of the opponent's high levels and lack of good places to grind. Until it occurred to me: this game is so easy that I literally do not need to match their levels. So I did a Normal monotype challenge, and just beat Blue while my Pokemon were ~20 levels lower than his. I used a Clefable, Persian, Dodrio, Snorlax, Chansey, and Tauros. Almost everyone knew Hyper Beam because I used the Missingno glitch to clone TM15 LOL. That was... The most fun I've had playing a Pokemon game in a while, actually. |

| Gen I is so broken, holy crap. Part of the reason I wanted to do a mono-Normal team is because I read on Smogon that if you use Hyper Beam, and it KO's the opponent, you don't have to recharge on the next turn. I wanted to see that for myself. That, and I also wanted to witness the glory of Gen I Chansey, with its Special stat... It was all around an awesome playthrough, and it only took me 12 hours of elapsed time to play. I started up a Normal monotype in Ruby version today, and yeah... Gen III is definitely harder than Gen I. I had more trouble fighting Roxanne than I did with any of the Elite 4 in Gen I. I don't know how I managed to beat her with a Taillow, Slakoth, and Whismur, but... I somehow managed to. Hehe. This is going to be fun. |

| I will agree out all of the gens the original 3 is harder. You have to grind more. |
